Soo, you’ve spent the past two or three pages going on about how ‘our’ top players would be better off lining bird cages then to bothering to play even Korea’s average T5 gamer.
Would it HURT you to actually help those of us (such as myself) who are knew to the game, and many others who are asking for help, are you just going to sit there, twiddling your thumbs, waving your “Go Korea, Go” pennant whilst laying on your lawn chair set on a higher pedestal than the rest of us ‘lowly’, supposedly ‘ignorant’ folks? We’re supposed to help this game flourish, the community is enjoying playing something new, and it’s exciting. The last thing we need is someone to come in here and make a national debate about it.

Soo perfected two of my MvC2 friends in a row during Evo over the summer (with that crappy Cyclops Kick assist of all things too) so I know he’s definately no bum when it comes to fighting games.
Noone’s arguing his actual skill, we just want some actual worthwhile content or info from the guy when it seems that he’s holding back.

hes not holding back anything master chibi. hes not a tekken player. hes a great mvc2 player. and ill give him all the praise in the world for that. but hes talking about tekken 5 just to stir up shit imo.
so far he hasnt posted anything that remotely gives the impression that he actually PLAYS the game, just watches videos and stuff.

wait…Im not hating on the American top players. alot of the top players actually live around me and have been very nice to me. I think they are awesome in the game. in all my posts I guess what I meant was that the general level of competition in Korea is higher. Ive lived there and still visit every summer. they have literally atleast 1 or 2 arcades every block. in every one of those arcades are filled with guys ages 10-25 playing Tekken all day long.
And for the last time…I was a Tekken player long before I was a Marvel player. I stopped playing after T4 came out. I literally played like 4 games of T4. and while T5 is obviously a mixture of T4 and TTT, the top players here tell me its a bit more like T4.
no offense Jizzz_frame but I can take you out in this game with atleast 5 different characters. stop actin like you know me and what I do. I dont know the game well enough to improve other peoples’ game. so I wont act like I can in the first place. all I can say is this game is all about pokes. combos are coo and all, but if I can do a fancy combo that does more damage but leaves the opponent far away or a less fancy combo that does less damage but positions the opponent where I can cross up or punish while he is getting up or not Id pick the second. but that kind of stuff is basic.

Given Tekken’s insane damage, perfects are a lot less meaningful then they are in say, SF.
Korean Army is not only mandatory, there’s a lot more of a social stigma to getting out of it then say, Norway… Slim chance I may end up volunteering for Korea myself, if I do, I’m going to learn me some fighters while I’m there. Being stationed in Monty was good for comp (1hr drive to Sunnyvale) , other two places I’ve been are black holes (Biloxi and Sumter)

The only thing im afraid of as ive said in other threads is that the longer the game goes on, especially in the next year. The more T5 Steve will become more like T4 Jin. Im not saying its going to happen to all those who would say, shut up scrub you dont know what your talking about. Its just from what ive seen and played and from what ive witnessed picking up Steve, it looks like it could head that direction.
Soo: This is srk, you have been on here for long enough to know if you dont phrase your words exactly how it is meant to come out, it will be misconcepted. And honestly the way some of the things you said came out did sound kinda fucked up. Not a judgement just an observation.
MDJ will be fine as long as he doesnt have to be a rock soldier, thats when you get all the bad shit to do.
