Tekken 5 game/stick bundle $30 at my gamestop

No.

No, There’s one already welded on.

No, you just bend the connectors in since the holes for them are narrower.

Sorry, I have no Idea.

I have a question too. Are screw-ins ok to use?

Could you also find out the box measurements of the box in “Inchs” please, Length x Width x Height and weight?

thanks alot
DH

Well I’m bored so I took the time to measure the box my 2 sticks are in and its 17x10.5x5.5 in and I’d say the stick itself is under 10 pounds. I’m glad I got mine the first day this was mentioned- but I haven’t had time to order new parts for em’.

I got killer designs for them though hopefully this thread is still around when I finally get time to post some pics

I dunno if you’ll find any now. When I got mine it was the first day this thread was up and I had to call 4 stores before I found one that had it. Store only had two so I bought them.

anyone know if any of these in the la area are still around? Even perhaps around anaheim?

ok so poon doesn’t seem to be around, anyone know how to do this? do you use a dremmel to cut the whole or what?

Ok, like DJ Van said, box measures 17" by 10.5" by 5.5" and I found that it weighs 8 lbs and 7.5 ounces, which converts to $53.50 for EMS (this is the lowest rate). This is coming from MD which is where Paik is located.

Thanks for all the help d7. It’s heavier than I had thought originally. That is the weight not including an exterior box or padding and such. So 10 pounds is a safe number to estimate for a total shipping weight for the stick.

DH, I got your IM. Sorry I wasn’t there. Here is the USPS shipping calculator for a 10 pound package from me to you:
http://postcalc.usps.gov/intl_speed.asp?CID=10150&MailType=package&Pounds=10&Ounces=0

Airmail (parcel post) is $49.55 so you might as well shell out the extra $7 and go EMS to get it insured, trackable, and in 3-5 days. In the end it will definitely be more than $80 : / Not worth it in my opinion. If you’re going to be shelling out $50 for shipping, it might as well be for something nicer. In any case, just hit me up on AIM again if you want.

Villainous, you have to make the whole by any means necessary. If you move them anywhere else on the case, it’s a plastic case so you just need something that can cut through plastic. Dremel will work fine.

I’m now a member of the T5 stick club. I got the only one they had at the Lake Jackson, TX GameStop. I plan to put Sanwa stuff in it, of course…

picked up two for myself… time to search around the forum to learn how to mod them

Supra, you said it! Actually, I’ve decided to go with Seimitsus because of the prettier colors. Gonna be a good stick, I just know it.

Is there a guide for installing a Seimitsu stick into the T5 anywhere, or is it pretty much straight forward. I’ve already modded one with all Sanwa parts, but I want to get a Seimitsu one.

Anybody?

ambiguous, yes they are fine.

!(o_o)!, I’m sure I’ve explained how to mod with a Seimitsu before. I’m not sure if it was in this thread or even this forum. The long and short of it is that you need to remove the mounting brackets. To do this you need to drill through the welded areas (you will see 4 dots where the bracket is welded to the top panel). By doing this, the brackets will fall off. Then you can mount any stick that you would like by drilling new mounting holes that will fit your stick. That’s all the detail I feel like explaining at this time, but honestly that’s all you need to do.

I’m pretty sure that earlier in the thread it says you can use screw-in buttons as long as you remove the plastic that inhibits them using a dremel (or drill). That’s not hard at all. Somebody needs to talk about using Seimitsus though!

Err, thanks Paik, ya speedy speedster.

how did you change the picture? thats all i want to do, i dont care about new buttons

I would also love to know the best way to change the pic on the tekken stick. I have one printed out and such, just no idea to put it on without unsoldering the buttons.

you don’t, that’s how.

I thought this would be a good beginner stick so I went out and bought one. Before I even started playing a game with it I noticed the stick was loose. I can grab the stick and spin it like I’m trying to unscrew a light bulb or turn a door knob. It’s hard to get a good grip on the stick because it spins eveytime I try to do a move. Does anyone else have this problem or is this normal? Should I return it and get a new one?

drunken, you CAN attach artwork without desoldering buttons, but that’s not a very good idea. You would have to use some sort of sticker/adhesive. You would also have to cut out holes for the joystick and buttons. But really, that is a stupid idea. If you want custom artwork, you need to put it on after you remove the balltop and remove the buttons.

The sticker method in general is pretty worthless unless you’re going with store bought solid color/design. Getting a sticker made is just going to wear. The best way to put on custom artwork is by putting it UNDER a plastic layer such as plexi or lexan.

y2sims, that is how all Japanese sticks are. I honestly don’t understand why people have a hard time doing moves just because the balltop/shaft rotate freely. One does moves by moving the shaft not by turning it at all. The sticks are always have much less tension than US parts. But if you don’t like these facts, then just return it.

I’m stopping by here before I send my art off to MAME Marquees just to make sure I got it right. I used DJ-Vans’ template and the image is at like 1600 dpi. I guess what I want to know is if it will come out right:
