Tekken 5. Evo 2k5. Japan Vs. Korea. The showdown

Naw, man. There is nothing wrong with you. Maybe you just need to harness your skills a bit more or something. Remember, skills come in different flavors. Refine your technique.

I could put on here “what about us black people? We don’t suck at fighting games?” (yes, I’m black) but that’s clearly off the subject and could lead to a racial flame war.

Hmm.

I’m going to guess that the reason why there isn’t so much internet exposure on the english side for Korean VF is because VF isn’t big at all here in the North America. Am I right?

who’s number 1?

Spoony: thats most likely the reason why. Ive never even seen VF at an arcade here.

NeREMIXED: I would say tomhilfiger with a couple people right behind him. the 2 closest prolly being JOP and Arario.

Im sure Bronson has mastered the art of the unsafe attack on T5. Thats if he started playing 5, havent talked to him in awhile. That guy is just a trip to see play.

well you probably know him but I know he got second to Willpower and Mayo in past tournaments up there. Do you know if he was just sandbagging?

I wasnt there when he lost to will and I wasnt watching when he played mayo. all I know is tom is og tekken sandbagger. he wasnt even slightly mad when he lost to mayo. but I mean, even the best lose sometimes. skill wise I think he is our best. I think he plays completely different in the big tournaments.

Also, Korea gets mad props for being the BEST at tekken. IIRC, they do not beat the japanese in VF, so we tend to focus more on the japanese side of things. Just like the koreans are pretty good at #R, but not quite as good as the japanese, so we tend to focus more on the japanese #R skill. Why copy from second best?

Actually Tekken 3 and VF 3 popularity were pretty same, but Tekken Tag overshadowed all arcade fighters after that. CVS2, GGXX# reload, SF3:TS and VF4 EVO/FT etc. had some small scene in Korea, because Tekken 4 bombed.

Korean players even entered international VF 3 tournament.

VF3 had a Maximum Battle with two parts - Japanese and International tournaments. Kyasao won the Japanese title, while AkiraKid(S.Korea) won the international title. Afterwards, there was an overall bout and the 2nd place international player, a Lau player from Korea wiped the floor with the Japanese VF players.

Mayo, the Yoshi/Bryan user? I know him. I havent really seen him against the best, where does he stack?

arario is number 1 right now in this area.
