Asuka isn’t cheap online, it’s just that people don’t know how to deal with the lag. If you have problems LPing her due to lag, then just buffer a low crush(hopkick, etc) when you know it’s coming. If she starts using 1+4 strings, make sure you duck the 2nd and 3rd hits when you see it starting.
I admit that if you aren’t well versed on her mixups or DR in general then it’s a little harder, but you can deal with it with practice.
I sorry if I haven’t been accepting invites, been playing way too many people online and by the time I get to the room, it’s closed!! I’ll be on tonight after 8PM EST.
Thats the problem, switching block stances requires prediction rather than reaction because by the time the animation comes out, its too late to change how you’re blocking, at least in a lot of the games i’ve played.
Kazuya 124 is ridonkulous online because you have to hold d/b right as the 2 comes out in order to block the 4. Any advanced scrub worth his salt can then just do 12, df+2 or whatever mid and abuse the shit out of it
I played a bit yesterday on my friends PS3. Lag is really not all that bad on this, if you use a wired connection.
I’ll try again tomorrow hopefully.
Sticky: Do you know how to crouch dash? After that hit d/f+4. IMO, he’s not the best character to use for a beginner. I say use the linear/Simplistic characters to learn the basics, like Paul, Lili,Kuma,Drag,Wang,Roger.
Man, I can’t get a game for shit. I have tried for like 45 minutes at a time, and either I can’t get on or I get booted right away. I have green connection bars. Is it just people being clique-ish?
NO. Bryan is really strong, easily top 10 in the game. He has good lows and decent crush options, and great punishment in b,f+2. His best feature is his taunt which guard breaks and against the wall, it’s rape. Bad part is that it takes alot to get his taunt cancels down, so you’ll be missing a big part of his game for a while. Worth learning though.
DJ(mishima’s in general) are all about execution. If you can’t effortlessly crouch dash and EWGF(both on punishment and out of the blue), then you’ll set yourself short in the long run. If you can do that, then learn him. He’s pretty simple to play once you got that down.
Dbostick…I joined your room last night and you were gone. I’m going to play tomorrow night and invite you. Finish whatever match you are in and join! Ha
Anybody know if you can mix and match the regions of your downloads? I bought the US version for my US PS3, but am hoping to play online versus EU players. Will I be able to if I buy from the EU store, anyone know? (when its released here)
IIRC you cant play other regions. I think there was a guide somewhere about getting hold of the Jap version which basically revolves around making a separate account. So I think the same principal applys to the EU version as well.
It seems okay so far, I played 2 French guys with very little lag. Not sure if that would be because they had US PS3’s or something tho. My friend is going to buy the expansion, he has a UK PS3 and were gonna see if we can connect. There is a friend invite feature so Im hoping it will be okay.
I’ll be done with the game in a week tho, you know my track record for this game. I throw a few Kaz combos then quit and wait for the next Tekken!
Cable - Relax guy. Take my advice, dont talk trash if you arent ready for the consequences lol. (i.e. Julias taunt) Learn Baek? I know Baek, but lag prevents me from punishing strings since hes online friendly. Thats why i was sidewalking you left and right in the next 2 times you used him. Otherwise, (without lag) youd be eating CH 121 and elbows all night long. So i just had to work around it. GGs none-the-less. You can only get better from here.
I never talked trash in Tekken. I said I’m ready to play. That means I learned a few things, that’s it. I never said I was better than anyone or that I owned at this game. I just started Tekken a few months ago.
