f+1+2 is ok as far as avoiding incoming jab strings, though I don’t use it much. You can get a juggle on CH though and it’s a lot of damage (almost half life) but her SS+1+2… I NEVER use. I don’t use SS 3 either. I would rather SS and do a regular move then either of those. You are right, they are weird attacks!
thanks, i figured i’d haveta learn them through experience, i don’t read the TZ strat forums, i don’t remember ttt or old tekken games allowing you to successfully ss after you’ve been hit, such as your example, even if the move doesn’t track well.

haha what? Well, I lost some games if that’s what they mean? I mean, if they are honestly being cocky over me NEVER playing DR before and experimenting with bryan half the match, I guess. I mean, half of those guys were good, and one guy was beating me with shit I haven’t seen with Yoshi. But if I would have known they’d talk shit, I would have done money matches. Oh well, still had a good time playing there. They were REALLY into it man, for me it was being on vacation, playing a new game. Some of those guys I beat, their expressions looked like I threatened to poison their families or something. Guess they took it more serious than me? i cant seem to find a lot of beginner strats and tools on TZ so can someone tell me or link me to some info for beginners?
also im aware of the transition to DR for tekken now, so id also like to know what chars (preferably high-top tier XD) that can be learned in tekken 5 (one im gonna learn on) that can transfer over DR without any drastic changes ( i know theres gonna be some tho). for ex what about heichachi? is he decent in the tiers and solid so that if i learn him in 5 will i be able to transfer it over to DR? thanks a lot.

you can’t start off playing mishima’s off the bat.
IMO he’s still real good in DR.
Also if you wanna learn. Go play at Super. Get to know some of the guys like Aris, Kneebows, Insomnotek, Filthie, etc…then just learn from them.
You can start playing anyone if you want to 
He will just have to learn the hard way
