Since we all know Jin was just so top tier in T3 and TTT, he was just an unstoppable beast and not a mid tier to high mid tier character.

Are you saying Jin wasn’t the best in TTT? T3 was the only game he was in that he wasn’t the best character. Sure in TTT he had some friends in the top tier with GASP Heihachi,Kazuya, and Devil (totally different playstyles :rolleyes:). I would say the Ogre’s were some comp but in the hands of some 1337 Koreans Mishimas ran away with it and I’m sure many would argue that Jin’s the best Mishima out of the four. And I’ve paid attention to the series as I’ve been playing it competitively since Jin’s been in the game so I’m not new to this. I’ve felt sting of retarded shit like Netsu 112 one too many times.
And if I seem pessimistic it’s only because of Namco’s track record. The only game he was fair in had some of the craziest shit in it (4,3 Law Combo Madness and such) so even then that’s not saying much. Namco’s never been big on balanced, Jin’s the Golden Boy, and there’s two of him. What am I supposed to think according to what Namco’s done in the past? I know…T5 Evolution.

Jinpachi was/is Heihachis father. He was supposed to be dead but I suppose Namco decided they needed another ancient Japanese man in the series.
Jeez, why don’t they just to what the Batman and Spiderman action figure lines have done, have Street Defender Jin and Air Strike Jin and Aquatic Adventure Jin and Karate Chop Action Jin.

The Jinpachi thing is cool I guess, but what does he have to do with anything? His only connection to the story (besides being Heihachi’s dad)left with Wang. He’s a dead bastard. Plus, I thought he WASN’T an evil bastard like his son. I can’t wait to hear how Namco’s gonna explain this.

I hope Jinpachi’s human form is playable, and that he plays like a mix of Ogre/Mishima. Ogre w/ WD, EWGF, and hellsweeps! Tekken 5 is gonna own.

As for Jinpachi, according to what I’ve observed in the video, he either seems to be a reincarnated spirit or you fight him in the spirit realm of some sort.

Sorry maybe I’m wrong, I had heard somewhere that in the Japanese version of TTT you could play as Devil Jin if you was teamed up with Heihachi and used the “Omen” move. Sounds farfetch’d but its just what I read, if its true, then they’re lucky lol.

Isn’t Xiaoyou’s story related to getting a time machine from heihachi or something? What if that time machine has something to do with why Jinpachi has returned? Xiaoyou wanted to go back in time to stop the hatred in the Mishima family after all, which would mean going back in time when Jinpachi was around.
