I use Taskmaster and agree with the majority that this shit needs to go.
I totally agree, too. By the way, it’s not just recovery frames, either. It’s anytime during any move you can tech. Start-up, active, recovery, you can tech out of all of them.
I actually think this was a developer oversight or something. Nothing like this was mentioned in the system changelog, nor is it mentioned in the guide. In fact, the guide mentions that certain slightly unsafe moves (like, -2 on block) can get punished with a throw, but if you can tech out of them anyways then what exactly would make them unsafe?
It seriously needs to get patched out. If it stays, throws will eventually become useless once people get used to mashing H for option selects after any move with even minimal recovery.
am I the only person who presses throw once, and techs only on reaction? Seems like it…

Normal jump with Taskmaster while calling doom assist, shooting arrows downward. Opponent is stuck in the corner crying.
Leave it to Capcom to fix a problem in the worst possible way.

In all seriousness, throws need to have whiff animations and 2 button inputs if they’re going to remain 1 frame and have the kind of payoff that they do.
The way Phoenix Wright gathers evidence kinda throws a wrench in the way I was hoping they would fix this though. Fucking Capcom, why you so stooopid?

Wouldn’t just making S to throw fix the original problem in MvC3? Most S moves except HURR DIVE are really punishable.
Yeah the time you have to tech throws in this game is pretty generous and something people don’t realize. Yeah they’re one frame but good look throwing someone with f/b+H on the ready.
In most SF games the window I’m pretty sure is shorter. Like no more than 5 frames at most.
yea i am thinking it this might be it. maybe a accidentally glitch from all the systems changes. i agree it should be patch/fix. you should not be able to escape from something you should get punish for.
edit: also i also been reading the guide and it was never noted a change to the throw system.

Sure, the teleporters are nuts…but I think it’s even worse that Sentinel can do an OS flying S+H to do a frying pan that can’t be airthrown

You misunderstand. What I meant was, his gameplan wasn’t suffering because using HM while on point could get you thrown.

between the web swing and jH, Wesker’s cL worked.
Tried it again (this time i mashed)
Worked again.
Maybe it’s character specific, Wesker’s L is 5 frame i think.
