Want to say this to manoftheleaf (Josh), you did a excellent job side streaming at NWM4. I really appreciate what you do for the Olympia and Tacoma area keep up the good work. Its time for you to celebrate on your hard work.
I would love to make it down, but the Toe-Fu DOJO’s ranbat finals will be happening the same day. A few of us who are interested in going have qualified in AE or UMvC3 and one of the invitationals is for KOF XIII as well.
This has been the case for the last two Tech Hit tournaments. Last one overlapped with a Toe-Fu qualifier and the first one overlapped with Sakura-Con, Toe-Fu qualifiers, VSB, and Best Bout all on the same day
Wanted to let you know that people in the North Side have been interested in coming down, but the dates have not worked out. You have a venue that could serve most of the region (not just the North and East, but Oregon as well). I’m happy to see that you have posted up a schedule. I hope you can also stay in contact with the other TOs in the area to help grow our scene.
Loz you are always welcome down south. Sometimes these schedule conflicts are unavoidable, and I figured that this would happen. I am still going to throw down the same weekend but mostly for people down South that can’t make it up North and for people in Tacoma that just want to rock Skullgirls/Blazblue.
Updated OP to reflect any changes in events and schedules.
So just to be sure there is no ae/marvel going down tomorrow (June 16th) for some reason I thought there was.
You are correct. There is no marvel AE or X Tekken tonight. The next date for that is June 23.
So Poverty Fights R1 was almost a total flop. Non of the anime fighters came down to play. I heard most, if not all of them, went to Seattle for SRGE and Toe-fu Dojo Ranbats. I guess it was just bad scheduling on my part, but I figured that because there were no anime games on the schedule that I would give an opportunity for the to come out and play. I’ll still plan to run Poverty Fights for the rest of the Season and decide from there if I will continue to run it or not.
Tonight! THE CLASSICS!!!
Okay, my work schedule as of today is mornings rather than evenings, so hopefully you guys will see me there a lot more often over the summer. I’m sorry I missed the last two tournaments, though.
Yeah, the tournaments have been very awesome. They’ve ran pretty damn smooth so far (even with the new format experiments) and I really like how we’re seeing a lot of new faces. Best of all, with this twice a week format, the tournaments are generally smaller and we’re getting increasingly better at wrapping up on time. Lol. Very helpful to those who have to work hard to make time to visit.
I dont think i can make it to anymore tourney for awhile, asian wife was pissed…Damn Guilty Gear!
I caught a little bit of Guilty on stream. Was happy to see people coming out and to see it get streamed!
At the very least, T-Bone and I are planning on coming down this Saturday. Hopefully we can bring some others, too. I’ll try to get him to bring his monitor, but you have my Xbox (and discs). I am also willing to assist in any way with the tournament. See you then!
It wasn’t Guilty Gears fault. It was definitely all my fault. I didn’t know how long the Round Robin would take and setting up took me alot longer than usual due to unforeseen circumstances. Give my apologies to your Asian wife. I’ll see you at Mother Russia.
what time is ae suppose to start? I got something going on til 6 tomorrow.
X Tekken is first and will probably take an 1:00 - 1:30 hr? so probably around 7:30 or 8:00 pm. AE is second and Marvel is last.
okay so I broke my wrist Thursday and it’ll be in a cast for 4-6 weeks. I’m going to try to make what I can, but it’s my left hand so joystick movement is troublesome. Hopefully I’ll be able to get it off earlier rather than later
Right? That was the first thing I thought of. I actually participated in a SomethingAwful tournament the day it happened, before I knew it was broken. I got 3rd, haha.
Ok guys sorry for the brief period of hibernation. I have just been feeling hella lazy this week. I update the Post #2 with the proper results of Kings Gambit Round 3.
If you guys didn’t notice our venue has acquired more games for us which is a start to being self sufficient but no where close. There has also been a restructuring at our venue so there will be more changes that will directly effect us in a positive way.
This is all in thanks to Kioga aka Eric Post. If you guys ever see him at TOS, he’s always there, don’t forget to say what’s up and tell him thanks if you want. I know I’m thankful.
The next tournament is gonna be Poverty Fights R2 on July 14 with KOF XIII, Skullgirls, and BBCS: EX. If you want to know more about upcoming events click on the “Tech Hit! Tournament Schedule” in the Post #1.
The best way to stay updated is on this thread and facebook (facebook.com/techhitts). I rarely use twitter but I will start using it more for live updates. Thanks for coming guys and I hope to see you all again.
There is a very slight chance that I will be at TOS this weekend because I am going to cover Salty Runback at the Spitfire grill in Seattle. I may stop by on my way back but that’s not concrete. If anyone is interested in doing an EVO party hit me up and we can work something out.
