Elias I take no hostility or beef with your words. I know my play is mid-level at best, and thats with chun. I still miss links, I still dont have solid playstyles to fight every cast member with, my reaction time is still a bit slow, etc. Hell, I pretty much had to take a month or so off playing chun and fiddling with the rest of the cast just to have a better understanding of the game and the fundamental mechanics underlying it. I’ve played plenty of fighters but that was years ago and I never have taken a single one seriously until SF4. I have a lot of catching up to do. It was good for me to have YOU there because I myself learned and think my game probably improved a bit playing with you and Pablo.
Right on :tup: glad you learned stuff. You’ve definitely got the potential. Hell you caught on to my mechanical fuerte more quickly than most.

Ok folks here is the run down on the round robin. This FRIDAY at PREPPYS, we start round 1 of the qualifier. We will get as many matches played out as we can.
June 6th, is going to be cancelled. I really do apologize, but do to the pwoers that be, its taking me a bit longer to land this place. SO, with that said the new date is going to be…
June 14th, Sunday at GAMECLUCK’S in Lynnwood.
I have went ahead and talked to the owner. He is willing to let us take over the whole spot for free and run round robin as long as we ALSO have a singles tourney. all he wants is big numbers, so I think this will work out. Now all the people not in the qualifier can at least come and watch as well as play in a singles tourney.
So once again, I GREATLY apologize for having to change the date so last second. This new venue is perfect and can accommodate us well.

I’m in the same boat. I had requested this saturday off as well, and starting next week, my schedule is getting changed to work Sundays and thanks to me having 2 weekends off in a row I can’t really ask for any more days off…since vegas is around the corner. But we’ll see what happens. Worse comes to worse, I just play all 30 of my matches at Zach’s. I’m NOT TRIPPIN about playing a potential 87-147 matches in one night.

Yeah, why don’t we have it another saturday just at your place, Cole? Or are you having trouble getting the new place in general… 'cause like, while it’s tight for me to have it in Lynnwood (shit is five minutes from my house :lol:), and tight for like a couple other players, most the rest are to the south. Travel shouldn’t be a big deal though, I don’t whine about having to go to bellevue or kirkland from up north.
To be honest though, gameclucks is kinda grimey for playing serious. I can’t concentrate with the 13 year olds screaming OH MY GAWD THAT’S CHEAP!!!1 ROCKETS ARE SO CHEAP!11! over Halo 3 in the corner. Well, I rock the headphones in serious matches, but still… I would feel more comfortable in someone’s home where the game is the only attraction. Besides that, running it in gameclucks while another singles tournament is going on? Sounds hectic and crowded. I was having a hella hard time weaving my way through the little halls between the tables to get to my matches or god forbid watch a match the last gameclucks tourney I went to, and there was maybe 30 heads at most?
I don’t know though, maybe we could have a poll topic (well, not a literal poll because anyone can vote in that) asking what works best for people. I don’t work weekends but would prefer a saturday because you know this shit will run late and mondays are my busiest work days.
If this is the only real option, than there’s not much to do… I’m not against having more time to practice up, but feel bad for people calling out of work.
Seems like it would go so much faster at Gameclucks if theyre offering up the joint, they have so many setups. Plus Evo is gonna be hella loud anyway. I did wanna destroy those Halo kids though.
Yeah, they do have a lot of setups and we have a lot of matches. 'Tis a good point.
Word, the only problem I see is Gameclucks doesn’t have characters unlocked for anyone who uses unlocked characters, so if you main someone who has to be unlocked I would suggest getting there early and unlocking them while Cole sets up the tournament.
P.S. I might stop in after work and check it out because it sounds like a shit ton of people are going. I’m down to just bullshit and tell you how a noob would play it in certain situations.
