I just hope the mann vs machine mode doesn’t make 4 engineers + one uber medic a viable strategy.

There is a specific robot that targets sentries. Maybe it won’t be as viable as you might think.
I did, but unless that thing is unkillable I don’t see how it will make a B-line for the sentry. Is it resistant to the pushback? Can turrets, other than the one that it is charging, take it down or is it immune to turret damage? Does it instantly destroy the turret+dispenser in one shot?
Also how the fuck can these things spy check? Wouldn’t a spy with kunai solo everything.
EDIT: Also does the bomb run through everything or can you make a wall of teleporters and dispensers to block its way?

Getting cash as Sniper sounds like it’ll be a bit tougher, but we’ll see. I’m guessing the Pyro and Demo don’t get many perks because of their CC capabilities.

Did anyone else see the Archimedes plush that was accidentally leaked onto the Valve store before it was taken down? Apparently he was in the lucrative “wedding dovery business” until the Medic stoke him out of the catering truck meant for the German Prime Minister’s wedding. I… I kind of want one now.
Is the MvM update going to remain seperate from the normal game? Or will your powerups carry over to normal ctf and pl etc…?

Valve servers are currently having a Diablo 3. No MvM for a couple hours at least, item servers are down for me to.
Im in queue to play, but its a 20 minute wait. wtf
Don’t use that, use the server browser. Even when the time reaches ‘a few seconds’ to join a game you don’t ever and if you do it’ll take you like an hour.
Didn’t get to play it because I didn’t know I could just use the server browser, so my friends and I were stuck waiting in a queue before we left. I will try that out tomorrow, though.
For those of you who have played it, what do you think? I see a lot of crying on SPUF (no big surprise) about it being too easy, mindless, etc. I’ll wait to play before passing judgement, though. Plus seeing how they’ll handle this through hotfixes and patches.
One thing that peeves me a bit is that all the player characters are RED. I thought you would be able to choose which color, just for flavor and story reasons.
EDIT: Wait, no more penetration on the Pomson? Something small inside me just cheered. Uber drain and hitboxes are still a bit silly, but can be prevented more reliably now by ducking behind my patient.
After waiting for The Update Download and 2 trips into MM for MvM. Grand total of I think like 4 hours? I got to play 1 mission(7waves) with a friend and four other folk it paired us with.
I personally think the mode is pretty fun(once you get in and settled). Major League Scout is a fucker, lol. Multiple baseballs, fast(this is trouble if he gets the bomb), agressive, shit tons of health. Yeah. Need to bring him down fast. Seems like theres a bot of every class, except engy. Which instead they have Sentry Busters. Robot Spy can be pretty fucking dirty too.
It is easy in terms of what you’re doing (Kill all the robots, get money, get paid) which goes in hand with the other objective, stop the robots and tanks(Hilarious amount of health, slow, can run you over, lol) from delivering the bomb to your base.
I am disappointed by a few things
- Reds only. This is just kind of a “But. It was in the Trailer…” complaints. Doesn’t affect how it plays so, whatever.
- Macthmaking Wait times, which I hope will iron out over time.(see: next few days)
-Giants. I was honestly expecting them to be…bigger than what they are.
-99 cent Mann. Sever Tickets. Kinda lame imo, but whatever. Valve makes good and fun things, so I have no qualms buying a few of these.
It’s a $1 ticket for a F2P game.
Seriously, it’s $1. The fact they’re STILL supporting the game still makes me want to pay 100 times that over.
