Uh, this describes me pretty well. I was sucking at getting Scout achievements(only got the first one), but updating my favorite class is a reason to celebrate.
I think you can, there is an achievement that has a sniper’s hat full of gunshot holes. I think you’ll be able to but just when you’re close cause aiming it will be a pain.
Also, I never thought of that! That’d be interesting if it did make a big KA-BOOM that gave away your position.
so i just stated playing this on the 360 and its mad fun. Game is my roomates and I’m thinking of buying. I take it I should get it for the pc? I’ve got a pretty much brand new system so I can probably run it maxed out.
You should absolutely get it for PC. You get all the current updates and maps, a much larger player base, and community made maps.
Yeah the PC version gets all the updates unlike the Xbox/PS3 version + much much more customization
I remember reading something a while back from Valve saying they almost reached the 360’s RAM capacity with the original game alone, but had managed to work around it to include updates (old updates for the pc). I can’t imagine them including ALL the updates the PC will eventually get.

Plus playing FPS’s with a pad is like playing fighting games with a pad. It sucks.
I really could not imagine playing this game without Compression Blast/Axtinguisher Pyro. PC version is by far better.
Not to add fuel to the platform fires, but I have to admit that I do feel some sympathy when I see one of my Live friends playing “The Orange Box - TF2 - 2Fort.” Hopefully, the poor guys don’t know what they’re missing out on. That being said, TF2 also REQUIRES mouse and keyboard control in my mind, with how fast paced and twitch it can be sometimes; the only FPSes I’d rather play on a controller are Halo (which is pretty much never) and COD (way too damn used to it from 2 and 4).
I actually haven’t fired up the game in a while. Looking forward to the new update, and maybe I’ll finally get around to finishing my scout unlocks while batting in some “[class] rush” skulls.
Just finished reinstalling Vista. Some virus was preventing me from playing games, eating up my CPU usage.

Not even because it’s a bad weapon. Simply because it’s in the form of a jar of piss.
Personally I think this is what the sniper needs
I see it helping him play a bigger teammate role by allowing base camp snipers to help out Engineers against Spies, and gives field snipers a midrange weapon that isn’t garbage and assists teammates
It’ll make the class less of a loner. and that’s always a good thing(only class that needs to be lone wolf is spy)
if it takes the SMG slot as speculated(which is probably the worst secondary weapon in the game anyways), it’ll be a constant in my sniper setup.
The shield needs to go if anything.
Pretty hilarious that something like that comes out during Spy update, in which Spy gets without a doubt the best TF2 update to date.
