Alright I just downloaded TF2. I hope the game will be worth it. This will be the first FPS I’ve ever really played online. Hopefully I’ll bump into some of you guys and you can show me the ropes.
Heh, you might prefer the following episodes better then. They are considerably shorter. You can knock them out in a weekend if you’ve got nothign else to do.
Just finished Halflife 2 for my first time. EPIC game, laughable ending.
Whats up with all the loading in HL2 on 360? Was it like that on the PC? Can’t believe I never heard about it before. I’m hella sick of seeing a door then entering it and seeing ‘Loading…’. Totally takes me out of the game.

So like… I reached the part where you get the car and have to face the antlions for the first time. Then I tried installing a haxed portal, and my save file got deleted. 
I really don’t want to use cheats, maybe only to get me back to my original position. Anyone have a link to save files?
Yeah, ending was TERRIBLE. I suppose you can forgive it considering it isn’t really an ending, and picks up immediately in episode 1. But on the other hand, there was a time when games actually ended and didn’t drag on for endless sequels. =p
yep in the pc as well. It gets even better wait till you get to the large amount of light at the end of the tunnel loading screens.

HL2 ending was lame. I remember when that shit happened like yesterday and was like “FUCKING REALLY DUDE?” I was shocked that Valve would pull some shit like that. But the Episodes are making up for that error.
HL2 being long seems kinda weird. Never seemed like a long game to me. Hell HL1 was longer. Maybe I’m so used to the style of play in the Half Life series that it doesn’t seem long to me.

I’m southeast, in Alabama. I’ve recently been playing on the [I AM] Clan’s Proving Grounds server. It’s usually the same bunch of people always playing on there, and they are quite good. They have several awesome custom maps in their rotation too.

How do those stats work? I’ve had like 60 or so points as a spy before, but my stats say 18. I guess it’s only per round?
I also just changed my nick to fry32.
All of the personal achievement stats are per life, if you die, the game resets its counts.
Ahhhh, per LIFE! Now that’s makin sense. I always thought I had good scores/stats in games, but I looked at my total stats and they were all low. I die a lot, I guess that explains it. =p
EDIT: How are points awarded? Sometimes I get 2 points for a kill, sometimes I get 1. How many points are a capture? I usually only make caps when I play scout and I never check my scores as a scout cuz I usually am not killing anybody.
As far as I can tell, kills are 1 point unless there is a special quality to the kill (backstab, headshot w/sniper), in which case they are 2 points. Captures I think are 2 points, but no guarantees on that, and the same with defences. I’m pretty sure flag captures are 2 points, as well. Teleports are half a point, healing I’m sure has some direct # points healed/points scored ratio, but I have no idea what it is. Sapper kills are 1 point as well, I’d assume killing a building with a sapper is 1 point. Kill assists are probably half a point.
…I’m probably going to go test all of these now.
