So anyone feel like the potential backburner change is completely ridiculous? I’m really hoping that shit doesn’t go through.

For the uninformed, it reduces bonus damage to +10% and allows air blast, but at double the ammo that the regular air blast costs. I think that will make the back burner fucking ridiculous.

I wouldn’t worry too much about not being good. It takes a long time to improve, so just pick a server you’re comfortable with, get to know some people, and have fun. Also, one of the quickest way to pick up good strats is to watch better people play instead of just doing your own thing.

So basically, you get half (or half minus one) the number of puffs, but only 10% more damage? Backburner’s going to get even worse than it is now.

Are you saying worse as in literally? Because 5% less damage with allowed air blast at double ammo cost is pretty good. You still get 100% crit on behind.

Oh, I thought you meant that the crit from behind was removed and replaced with 10% damage boost.

In that case, backburner would be amazing.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Yeah, I know like most games it takes time but usually I’m good at least at understanding games quickly. Another reason might be because I don’t have as much free time as I used to.

  1. Right click your Steam icon in your task bar (usually in the bottom right corner of your screen).
  2. When the context menu appears, click Servers.
  3. Click on the Favorites tab at the top.
  4. Click the Add a Server button near the bottom right of the window.
  5. Enter the IP address with port.
  6. Join and have fun!

Thanks Green, I just did that. I wouldnt have figured that out on my own for some time.

Anyhow, im pretty much in the same shoes as the other guy. I just got myself a pc that can run games and TF2 is the first one I picked up. I loved it and played the shit out of it on the xbox till it died there and have been waiting for the day that I could play it again. You know, with people.

Is anybody getting full-server crashes with the new update? Like, 80% of the people will crash simultaneously, leaving a few people operating normally?

The main focus of this update is on the replay feature, where you can record your life runs and edit them afterwards.

They export in HD and come out looking pretty damn good. Here’s an example:

I finally got around to messing with the replay editor. It was smartly done. Easy to use, renders out well. I like it.

Oh, it’s just a running joke. I played with a guy who always calls everything dumb, so it’s more poking fun at him.

Collected some clips of random air shots and such from playing the other night and put together a video. Really liking the little editor. Fun way to collect all the stupid stuff that happens. Like in the beginning of this, I got hit by a whiffed Bonk and back stabbed at the same time.

Now what’s the status on SRK TF2 nights, Pimp Willy? The last one got scrapped without a word so I’m worried that the next one on Friday won’t be happening. If this is true then PLEASE reconsider!! I would love to enjoy the company of my fellow SRK members as we experience the wackiness of TF2.

Thanks. It’s pretty fun playing with the replays now. It used to be a lot more annoying.

And I’d be down for any TF2 nights. But Friday is a tough one to work out. And what servers do you folks play on? Might be good to post some IPs. I mostly play on the no crits SourceOP servers, or the no crits Reddit Community servers.

I actually play on the SourceOP Valve maps server. I find 32 players with crits on enjoyable for some reason lol.
