Don’t care for the hat or any other hat in my backpack.
I’ll NEVER buy a virtual item on TF2, be it hat, weapon, or misc.
I don’t care about the trading economy in TF2.
People in the SLAUGHTERHOUSE server say there’s two groups of people now: Those who play, and those who only trade. And by God, I love mowing down those traders who join on a playing.
Good stuff on that big trade, and it’s cool that you’re not into that stuff.
For me, it’s just that after so long nothing much has changed gameplay-wise even with the new weapons that are thrown in, and so because of that, the Mann-Conomy aspect becomes more exciting.
Valve is a fuckin’ genius. On one server this dude said he spent $80 on keys alone and $300 since the Manconnomy update. $80 on virtual keys. Goddamn. It really really boggles my mind. I can understand wanting a cool item but people shell out cash like crazy. I ain’t mad at all though since items that pertain to gameplay can be crafted or dropped. All you have to do is just play for a period of time and eventually you can get what you want. You play more, you reap the rewards. Though, spending large amounts of money on game aesthetics is beyond me. The big picture is that Valve will have more incentive to support the game and that’s all that really matters.
But please believe, if I ever, and I mean ever, get a super rare/highly valued hat/item/whatever, I’m going to be trollin’ like there’s no tomorrow.
Before I start advertising elsewhere, wanted to know if anyone had a name tag and wanted to trade it for a Dr’s Dapper Topper.
EDIT: Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd it’s gone. Compared to other players, I get hats pretty damn often. Even if I were to never get any more hats, I’m more than content with the ones I have. Just really wanted a name tag. Mission comprete. Could have traded it for much much more but just thinking about all that negotiating and bargaining makes my head hurt.
Anyone try the new flare gun or medigun for the beta? The new flare looks kinda cool but I just use a shotgun when I go pyro and the new Medic healer seems like it would be awesome for arena or something.
Recently I’ve been trying to get into PC gaming and this is one of the games I’ve been dying to try out. I’m getting completely destroyed in it. It seems like everyone who plays this is insanely good and already have an attack/defend plan.
First and foremost, you have to know your ro…ahhh class. Play off your strengths and try to put yourself in situations that will minimize your weaknesses. It also depends on what type of servers you play on. 16v16 will make it pretty hard for you to be effective if you play certain classes. If you just started playing this month, don’t worry much. It takes time to get use to the way people operate on the various maps. Understanding maps is a way to help you improve your strategies.
