I’m a rocket-jumping super-mobile soldier. I move around a lot and when I’m not playing soldier I often play scout. I really don’t mind the campers, to be honest wtih you. That’s part of the game, Engis and Snipers aren’t made to be everywhere. I say, fight harder. Unless you’re playing Heavy. If you’re playing Heavy than stop because it has more counters than any other class in the game. It’s not always a bad choice, but if you don’t have the proper team support behind you an average player will kill you a lot.

Yeah. It’s not camping that I have a problem with. It’s a legitimate and smart strategy for snipers.

I have a problem with Snipers it’s the most common class that a team will OD on and end up losing the round due to. My best friend plays Sniper exclusively and I’ll constantly watch him play and give him obvious tips that help him become a better team member. He’s satisfied never touching the cart, never moving from his spot, only shooting other snipers, not using Jarate on burning teammates, and going for stagnant Heavies instead of stationary Medics. He’ll join a 16v16 spamfest and become the 5th Sniper on his team and not give a shit.

Makes me rage.

I only said that I’d play Sniper exclusively because I suck at literally every other class to the point where I just rage the fuck out. Sniper is the only class that makes fucking sense to me.

It’s not hard to take out a Camper, but it is annoying to deal with one. Been like two weeks since I played TF2 tho, but everytime I’ve gone pubbing I’ve always just ended up relying on myself going as a sniper and headshotting people.
Otherwise, I still say that I hate campers.

I just like staying as far away from my opponents as possible. This applies to almost any game under the sun, whether it’s a role-playing game, a fighter, a shooter, or a mumorpuger. I play Sniper because he is the most effective class when it comes to attacking from a distance. I played Hunter in World of Warcraft, Infiltrator in Mass Effect, and fucking v-13- in BlazBlue.

I have quit servers for this reason alone only to go to a less populated server that was actually truthful about the amount of players on it.

Blacklist is a nice addition. I tend to be a regular on a my favorites list of competitive servers, so it won’t do me much good, but it’s about time they implemented it.

Team Fortress 2 Update Released

Updates to Team Fortress 2 have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:

Additions

Various improvements to Spy disguise and feign death

Disguise weapons copying weapons with special animation requirements (Sword, FaN) now look correct

Spies now play the appropriate death cry on feign death based on the corpse that appears

Feigning death can now play custom death animations like a normal death (head loss, sniper shot, backstab, etc)

Feigning death due to explosive damage now has a chance to gib, like a normal death

Corpses from a feign death now use the correct wearable behavior (hats stay on, or fall off as they should)

The weapons dropped by feign death corpses now have appropriate physics and collision for their type

Combat text for damage done to Spies that feign death will now show the un-modified damage amount

Fixed Spies that feign death while disguised as enemy spies dropping fake ragdolls wearing a mask

Fixed a couple of physics issues on ragdolls created by feign death

Added convars to further customize the “play a hit sound whenever you injure an enemy” option

Removed the clamps on the “viewmodel_fov” convar

Added “viewmodel_fov_demo”, a convar that controls viewmodel fov during demo playback

Force-a-Nature will now correctly knock back players on the ground

Increased minimum damage required for the Force-a-Nature to cause a knockback from 30 to 40

Changed the Direct Hit to only minicrit enemies that have been launched into the air by an explosion

Increased the rate of the Soldier’s Rage generation by 40%

Reduced the duration of the Soldier’s Buff Banner effect from 14 seconds to 10

Reduced the explosive damage resistance on the Chargin’ Targe to 50%

Updated Novint Falcon settings (no effect on non-Falcon players)

Recoil/Reload force added for the Direct Hit rocket launcher

More defined flesh hit force added for the Equalizer pick axe

More defined flesh hit/world hit force added for the Eyelander sword
