… And that’s why I did throw. Unfortunately the fierce came out instead of an ex light of virtue and cost me the game, but the reason I’m debating is because he had a small amount of life as well and if the chain would have killed him, I would have wanted to do that instead. This kind of thing is important in those rare cases where itty bits of damage make the difference.
That’s the chain I was talking about on crouching opponents, too, with the missing roundhouse.
I thought it was funny in that video how the ken player realized the yun fag was just jumping up and down building meter and stood there for a while just marinating, concocting a scheme.
props to josh, yo. he knows his shyt. we had trouble against KEN I’s makoto and i think he had a 9 game win streak before josh stepped up with his first token and took him out with style. when he was doing all those genei jin combos with ease i was thinking to myself saying i’m running away once he activates it
eliot, i think K.O was baiting him to do a shoryuken. if ken wiffs it then K.O would go for the kill. I’ve never seen him just jump straight up in the air to charge his meter against the other characters before so i’m guessing that’s his strategy.
I’ve realized around those makotos you have to be VERY careful with remy because of his low stun bar… and that gay standing strong (as an afterthought).
Maybe I’ll play sean some more. That was hilariously fun.
David, in case you’re at all wondering and can come, you can find me at the zot zone tuesdays and thursdays at around one or one-thirty. I’m sometimes there on the other days but I usually sleep in. Chris’ll be there, too, in the mornings.
ok, maybe thurs of next week duriing your prescribed time. i’ll be using chun competitively for the first time. who else you know will be there like that new hugo user or the urien player?
i’ve finally mastered the dashing flash kick. i’ll be mixing that up with ex lovs, lunge kicks, and kara throws.
hugo guy’s in pretty regularly. I asked his name but i completely forgot it. Other people will probably be this kid that out of nowhere got good with alex, and a few random scrubs.
I hate knowing finals are coming…it’s like waiting on a fucking enema.
The left joystick will disagree with you on that point. You can do it to the left with ease but charging down and dashing to the right makes the machine think you want to jump. you have to like, fuckin SLOWLY move the joystick to neutral, then dash and do it, but it’ll probably kill the charge half the time. Oh, well, better than jumping into obscurity.
i could’ve sworn i just saw marvin’s post saying that he and anthony would be at zz tomorrow (wednesday). in that case i’ll come by tomorrow instead of thurs of next week kuz it’s close to finals. what’s a good time to be there? pm me or post before 12 tomorrow.
don’t worry, elliot. i’ll learn that joystick not to be gay.
edit: abel, have you gotten the entire coop cup 2 footages?
I do hope that “learning it not to be gay” means breaking it, becuase that’s the only solution unless you have some magic heterosexual herbs or something. I think I give off too many gay vibes so you’ll have to fix it regularly.
I have class at eleven, but it gets out at twelve, so I’ll be at the sux zone at exactly 12 tomorrow. Maybe I can do that every wednesday…
Yeah, David. We’ll be there hopefully around noon. Maybe we can work on your Chun tomorrow. She’s pretty easy to use. You just have to have really good knowledge of ALL of the characters’ recovery times for all their moves. At least with Super 2 you do. Then she can become quite annoying and deadly.
Just to announce, my elena officially sux, these days. I don’t know how she’d do against anthony, but I can’t get a win in edgewise on the hugo guy.
Anyways, I think we need a list of team: control techniques that we rigidly apply during matches. Here’s a few, abel can come up with many more, I’m sure:
The Marvel Mash: Special mashing technique that gets you out of stun within seconds (literally, according to abel  ). Included for its hilarious name.
The Counter Mash: When the opponent takes advantage of the game being made by capcom and mashes to deal extra damage, mash as hard as you can (hopefully, marvel mash) to negate any extra damage and reduce it a bit.
The Fake Retreat: This is actually a good one, the one where anthony gets real close and does some crap and then pretends to walk back and throws you at the edge of his range. I was really impressed by this the first time I saw it.
Hey, Ramon. This is abel, the guy that was at Gamezone tourney using Dudley. Anyhoot, we normally play either at Zot Zone on UCI’s main campus, or at Camelot. Later days
