I admit it, I didn’t know about the seekrat colors.
What I do when makoto does a command grab is tap the joystick forward to parry, or if I have enough life I jump so that people who like to do double throws or valle’s “I think I’m sooo clevar!” fake dash and sweep, and even if they do bust a fierce I’m safe from a super.
Onto the question: I don’t know much about the normal 360, but I do know this. When you’re not doing anything at the moment and hugo does his 720, in range, you can tap the joystick up in the middle of the super startup and you’ll escape. That super has a single frame startup (allegedly, since a few bits of karathrow.com’s data are inaccurate, such as remy’s far standing forward being super cancellable). His normal 360 has three frames of startup time. In some rare cases special moves have different (or “better”) properties than supers, such as dragon punches being immune to throws and some supers not (examples are ken’s third, elena’s spinning beat, and chun li’s second). Thing is, I’ve never tried testing it so I don’t know, but you can probably escape if you think it’s coming and you jump as he hits the button and finishes the motion.

(It’s never a good idea to do repeated cbks at point blank range, because when close enough, even if you fully connect they can still throw you. At the very best, this tactic creates a guessing game for you both, and is therefore NOT safe).

Hey guys…I heard from Hiro that the Tech guy at ZZ doesn’t want to put up the 360s cuz they break too easy and he doesn’t want to replace them…is this true?
yeah. Something like that. I’m going to be talking to the owner, in order to get her to push him to do it anyway. It seems the guy just didn’t want to because he was either a)lazy, or b)stubborn. In either case, I’m not givin’ up.
Quoting things out of context is fun, isn’t it? That is from a thread where some guy was throwing around a bunch of fake Ryu combos, then he added the EX joudan, EX air hurricane as though it was something supernatural. That is why I told him it was standard. I said meter-wasteful because EX joudan, EX air hurricane does the exact same damage as EX joudan, fierce DP (or regular RH hurricane on the ground) but wastes an EX. I was never comparing it to Shinkuu.
Oh, okay, sorry. I thought you were originally comparing things to the super. I read that thread originally a month or two ago and didn’t remember the subject completely, or that you posted less meter wasteful alternatives.

In other news, my dad took it upon himself to oversee 90% of a construction on my very own joystick! It took us a combined total of about 6-8 hours to saw the wood, drill the holes, clean the plexiglass, sand it, and four more hours working with the PCB (at first we got one that wouldn’t work with a 360) and now it works like a charm. I even made custom artwork for it, and I’ll show you guys at our next gettogether.
