And that is why I said I don’t mind doing that for the TE, fyi.
i went to ebgames today and pre-ordered the TE fightstick, it’s $180.00. I almost crapped my pants but w.e i could pay $200 to watch a hockeygame for one night, or own a badass arcade stick for around the same price.
had the same thing happen to me today at the Fairview mall location today at 10am. the guy there said that they spoke to head office today and were told not to take any because Canada will not be getting them and that the sku’s were no longer valid. I told him that other Ebs were still taking pre-orders and they were told by head office that they could. either way i went to another Eb and pre-ordered it( about half an hour ago). they said they will have a clear awnser tomorrow from head office and they would call me to let me know.
How dumb is this company.
I called in my local EB and pre orders are goo to go for the TE stick, also he said on the computer that it said htey would arrive on the launch of SF4 aswell. but he said even though the computer says that, hes not too sure if its gonna be arrive exactly as it says… wierd eh?
I’ve been told by my friend who works at EB that the game and the normal stick come out on the 18th while the TE stick will be coming out mid to end of March, I have a receipt for all three. I also found out that our stores in Winnipeg are not taking anymore pre-orders for both sticks (after only one day for the TE stick). So I think Gerjay, you may be out of luck, cuz if Winnipeg doesn’t have any, Ontario won’t have any.
I’m sorry to hear some of you guys getting jerked around by the EB stores.
If there is some sort of confusion among the stores / head office, this is extremely discouraging. Lack of communication skills ftL.
But if in fact the EB stores were only able to take TE Stick preorders for one day before being “sold out” then you are all SOL (for lack of a better term) at least for the time being. Sorry to say 
Either way, I will see what I can find out tomorrow from my contact at the head office. If anything, I will have an extra PS3 TE stick available for resale 
Am I still GG’d??? I’m gonna try heading to the Eaton center EB I think to see if I get the same answer, but I dunno if its worth it.
I just pre-ordered 2 TE sticks today along with a regular stick, In Calgary atm. Clerk said Feb 18th they will be released… i highly doubt that though. However he said the regular sticks will be in for sure.

I’ve been screwed over by them more then enough times, to learn to never step inside that shitty store ever again.

Yeah for sure this isn’t the first time I’ve been told something over the phone that just wasn’t true. Could’ve saved myself a fare if I just walked over to Dufferin but the employee there clearly told me tournament edition sticks are all reserved. Assholes.
I pass to the EB Games at the Eaton Center Montreal on a wednesday afternoon Jan 21, 2009. The Store Manager and the employees of the EB Games were not happy to see me back because they know me.lol
They were suprise to see the Pre-Order when I told them to look again in their system. They though that the TE will never come in Canada.
The manager who was serving me was a bit arrogant with me.
He ask me: "So will you get one of the TE now we have it?"
I said: “Ofcourse! But not only one but make it for 2x TE FightStick for PS3!lol”
They were all asking me if I am serious to have 2x TE?
I said: “Definitely!”
You should see all their faces. It was PRICELESS!lol
So I put the deposit for the 2x TE! I’m so happy, excited and relief! I was the first person to order in Downtown Montreal. So I’m pretty confident that I’ll be able to get my TE FightStick in March!

Just pre-ordered SFIV for PS3 (CE), 360 and PC.
Plus a normal Fighting Stick (360) and the TE one!!(360). They said they will receive both sticks on Feb 18th.
I’ll just put a Cthulhu board inside both so I can use em on PS3 and PC.

many have said March, but the stores are now saying Feb 18th… since the stores say it will come feb 18th i have a feeling they will be out that date.

Because the guy at my EB stressed numerous times it wasn’t going to be available until the end of March.
I got my hands on TE preorder today, the guy said to not get my hopes up and expect it later.
