Pre-ordered a TE, couldn’t pre-order a standard FS.
Gah. I have an online order for two of the things from EB. Considering with the taxes and all that shit, the online order is only 17 bucks more each, theres no way Im cancelling it. At least now I have a chance to get one of the initial run.
Has anybody tried to preorder at the heartland EB (in the best buy plaza). I’ll try to preorder it there or Square 1 this weekend. Just would like to know if they actually let you preorder it…

I got my pre-order in at EBGames. I put down $10 on the PS3 SKU 6162317. According to the store manager, the release date is still slated for the 18th of February. Why would head office quote the middle or end of March yet put the 18th of February in their computer systems?
Right now I have my GameStop order still up and I’m undecided which route I’ll go with.
I’m thinking I might get 1 TE stick and 1 FightStick and order in parts to upgrade the fightstick.
but I really want 2 TE sticks…

Yeah. Pre-orders start this morning. I’ll tell you right now though, quantities are EXTREMELY limited. Manager of the store near me doesn’t even expect double digits.

Not surprising as the initial run of the sticks was 3000 and apparently pre-orders in the US alone was 10000+… Pretty hyped about getting in my preorder, now lets hope gamestop/EB doesn’t pull any bs and all pre-orders are at least supplied
The stick is listed to come out on Feb 18 in EB Games system, hope thats true

I don’t mind paying an extra $40 for the TE, but for the regular stick? That’s just not right. I wanted a regular fightstick as well but I won’t bother now.

Thanks for the update, Jay. I went to the EB at Dufferin Mall earlier today and preordered the TE stick. I thought I might not have been able to do so because of Davero’s post from yesterday, but they went ahead and processed it.
For those who still plan on getting the TE stick, be sure to bring the SKU # with you and say that the preorders are finally open for this item. The people there were not aware of any preorders for it, and one of the reasons is because they normally do not take preorders for accessories. Their system shows an approximate release period (around mid-late March) along with the $189.99 price tag, so there’s no way any employees should give you any problems.
fyi, $150usd = $190cad when Cad is at 79cents/$1usd.
I went today at 6:30 pm and they told me they got an e-mail today telling them not to accept any more TE preorders… I’m pretty sure it was BS and I’m going to go in on friday to make sure it was BS, but if not GG me.
