He said that Gameshark.net is the place to order it online to deliver from US to Canada - but since he said that they “plan to” I think it’s not available yet.
I was about to click the proceed to check out button then I realized this is a complete rip. I could get the CE version of the game and the stick for the same price minus the shipping. I’m going to start looking for a place that will sell and ship to Canada that doesn’t cost you an arm and a leg. :chainsaw:

So I finally went to my local EB Games. Really nice guys! I typically go to Futureshop/Best Buy. ANYWAYS, I preordered SF4 CE for PS3 (6144455). He said release date was Feb 18…one day later than the Americans. Not a big deal. I was able to preorder the fightpads for the PS3 (6161863) and for the 360 (6162234). I asked him if I could specify the characters or if the pads would be random, and he said it looks like it’ll be random 'cause there was no way to specify which character. I have to go at like 9am to avoid getting two Blanka pads. He said the regular fightsticks were sold out, and that the TE was coming in late March but it wasn’t possible to preorder that one yet.
so if the TE sticks are coming in late march, when do you think they will be taking pre-orders… late feb?
We should all be on this to let the Canadian SRK community know when that preorder date is. Anyone who finds a date post it here!!!
I went to EBGames today and was told they received a memo/email stating to stop taking preorders for the regular fight stick. On redflagdeals.com, someone posted something similar only that this memo also said that they are able to accept preorders for the TE (and arrival of stick would be end of March). Can anyone confirm this?

I do too. The employee said that he could take my preorder for the TE stick, then when he tried he apologized and said that it wasn’t possible yet.

Just a heads up guys I asked about the preorders at Dufferin Mall and Eaton’s Centre today (EB games). Those who were working at the Dufferin mall were basically useless and had no idea that there were even 3 different sticks coming out. When i asked him if I could pre order he said sure and told me it would be 39.99. I respectfully told him that was the price of the gamepad and I’m pretty sure there’s no way they are selling the TEs for 39.99. He basically went on saying no the game pads are all we’re getting blah blah blah. The guy at Eaton’s was better simply by the fact that when he checked the system and it wasn’t in it yet, he straight up told me. Said he knew nothing as of yet.

Thanks! I’m so glad I joined SRK. I attempted to preorder yesterday and they said it wasn’t possible. I would’ve waited another month before trying again if it wasn’t for this thread.
It is a little disappointing they jacked up the price compared to the states by $40, but ordering from the states would cost way more than that. Besides, I don’t want a measly $40 getting in the way of me getting this stick.

I just spoke to my buddy who is a manager and eb and he said theyre comming in march and you can pre order now so I did and yea that price is just pure anal rape theres also an aniversary edition for SF4 that comes with the bundle if you pay 20 30 dollars more apparently .
I went back to EB today after reading Jay’s post. After trying to convince me there were no more preorders, he gave me a break and double checked his computer and then confirmed basically what Jay posted in his update (TE preorders are available) so I ordered 2 xbox TE fightsticks.
I’m surprised the TE price is more since the prices of the regular fightstick and fightpad are the same in the US. The employee did say that the final price may change.
Ok, so now I have a TE preorder at Lizardlick too. Should I cancel that or keep it and sell later on?

You have to pay a minimum of $5 deposit when you place any pre-order iirc.
I traded in a couple of my older games towards the value so it’s gonna help take off some of the hit.
SF4 is gonna make my wallet a lot lighter, that’s for sure
