Rolls did more than that sir. Look at the damage done while the ass is on on fire. It did at least 50% to tekkaman.
Question, with Karas’ lv 3. Is it a throw super? Or does Yatterman’s assit break through blocks? Cause thats what I saw in one of the earlier vids.
No, Tekkaman was already damaged at that point. But I’ll watch it again. Karas’s still does way more to Roll.
You should also consider that Tekkaman has a high defense whereas Roll has a low defense. =P
How do we know that Tekkaman has a specifically high defense and not just an average one?
Not that I’m saying he doesn’t, but is there any other vids that show him taking less damage than other characters so I can compare?
Roll and viewtiful Joe have low defenses. It’s obvious because of how much damage some people’s level 3s do to them. Karas seems to take decent damage from Soki’s combos, but Soki is supposedly a high-damage character. If Karas had really low defense I’d have expected him to take a bit more.
I still dont know why you think Karas is so godly. :-/
omg at roll, im in love with what they did to her
:lovin: :lovin: :lovin: :lovin: :lovin:
Haha kind of video, nothing to do with TvC, but with Tatsunoko (somewhat):

Speed + range + priority + combos + attacks don’t look unsafe + long range grab that allows him to combo into his level 3 + builds super meter really fast + all supers we’ve seen so far look useful = very good character.
The weaknesses of having poor defense and single hit damage are more or less circumvented by the fact that it’s hard to hit him in the first place and he can combo like crazy.
We can’t really tell about the priority of his attacks. Also his long range “grab” is blockable and is punishable.
And just compare the damage given to Tekkaman by Roll and Souki.
Well most of the other characters in this game use kicks and punches primarily. Karas has a sword (a long one at that) and it’s really fast. Souki also has a sword that’s about the same length (maybe a bit longer) but his strikes are slow, same for Tekkaman. In fighting games, sword or weapon attacks are generally not given hurtboxes, meaning that they have top priority over physical attacks involving kicks and punches. I’m not sure TvM will be the same, but I think it’s safe to assume.
I don’t know, from all the videos I’ve seen of Karas, he just seems to hit everyone lots of times before they can get close to him. I saw one vid where the karas player was stringing 25 hit combos of normals together and finishing with a super almost every time. And Karas’s normals aren’t showy multi-hit moves like Tekkaman’s.
I’m sure there will be much longer combos in this game, but he just seemed to go on for ever.
what about polymar? he has good combos, really damaging resets (aerial rave reset and air grab) he is not that slow.
now that I think about it polymar seems like a combo machine more than anything. Still worth a high-mid tier position
Can we avoid talking about tiers till we at least get the game though? XD
But yeah, Polymar is awesome. His weakness is that he lacks a projectile.
uh…I thought we were talking about weaknesses and strenghts…lol
anyways, does Alex still has his combo into Stungun?
Or maybe a large Big Cheese mech from Pizza Cats!
Either way, this is exactly WHY we needed an EVA as the Tatsunoko boss. Either that crazy bitch Asuka’s EVA, or rather one of those Mass Production EVAs. It’s large, freaky, it can bleed, and it’ll step on you hard and rip you apart! That’ll give Ryu and Tekkaman a run for their money.
On the Capcom side, it’d be cool if they added a giant Sigma form, similar to Megaman X1/XvsSF Apocalypse.
SMS TEam:
Since you’re talking about properties that neither company involved owns (EVA), why not go for a Marvel boss? ? I’m sure Galactus would fit right in. >:|
Dr. Wily for capcom end boss please, even though it breaks the 1 character per series rule!
About the bosses… I hadn’t even put thought into this yet but in the VS. series so far the bosses have been huge, dwarfing whatever character you had chosen. But in this game we have Golden Lightan and that other mech, who are pretty damn huge themselves.
Think these bosses will be even bigger?
I know its a ‘cop out’, but i honestly think Lightan and PTX are the bosses.
I dunno. Part of me thinks that they really wanted to keep a tight lid on who the boss may be, just so that it will be another case of “Ooooo!” by the fans when they finally do see him/it.
But in any case, I’m still sticking with my basic prediction: it’s either going to be a Tatsunoko big bad like Sosai X from Gatchaman, or it’s going to be an “original design” like Abyss from MvC2. One of the two.
