and his lvl 1 super (the big gun) is helllla strong, so it’s no wonder the start up on that move is so bad.

Karas isn’t the only one with a counter super. Saki has one, I believe. I don’t remember what it does though.

Rickstah: how are you getting up to that many hits in the combo? o_O does his j.A j.B combo into each other forever or something?

It’s in training mode with Free Baroque enabled.

Any Attack +Tag = Baroque Activation

And from the man himself Keits:

"just to let you all know a little more about Baroque;

Activation uses all of your Red life. The duration of the effect does not seem based on how much red life you had, it seems set. Activation cancels any special or normal move you were in into a nuetral state, so it works as a roman cancel. For the duration of the glowing on your character, you will deal bonus damage proportionate to the amount of red life you used to activate. In a combo, where hits are heavily scaled already, this is not as noticable. But consider punishing someone’s wiffed attack with a naked BAROQUE xx SHINKUU HADOUKEN. We saw this do 80% once at the Evo build. I dont know if things this dramatic can still happen in the final build, but you can bet your ass ill be testing it when I get my hands on it."

Yeah big gun girl has a counter super. she falls down, gets back up, does a dramatic pose then proceeds to knock you into the air and unload on your A$$. Lol!

Saki just shoots them a shitload. It’s her Lvl 3 super.

And for Joe, if you mash A, B or C alot he just goes into a flurry and keeps attacking. So something like launch, j.a, j.b, j.c (mash C) can lead to around 14 hits or so. Joe will fall below them though and it doesn’t knockdown, so they’ll be right above your head. Kinda useless, unless there’s an actual way to end the combo. I haven’t found one yet.

I mentioned this in my long post above, but is there any shorthand for ‘Any Attack’? I know the command list does it all in kanji, but ‘any attack’ doesn’t translate well into a single character :stuck_out_tongue:

Is it taboo if we make one up ourselves to use? Would it be too complicated to add an additional letter to the basic ABCP?

If not, I propose ‘H’ for ‘Hit’ to represent ‘Any Attack’. Thus a super would be something like ‘236HH’

We’re already doing A B C for light/medium/heavy. I’ve just been using 2P when I’m talking about supers since that makes sense to me, but I can see where it can get in the way of assist notation.

I say we use X because it represents the most common variable we all know. /finals mode
