Tatsunoko vs. Capcom stick for Wii by Madcatz confirmed

you can find the stick at the capcom store or gamestop.

So these OMRON D3V-16-3A5 are same specification as the Sanwa JLF Microswitches?
Because JLF Microswitch has V-01-3D5-A, and I do not know what they are.
The V-01-3D5-A not in Data Sheet, so don’t know what it is.

Or are you just saying that the TvC Joystick Microswitches are same brand as Sanwa JLF Microswitch?
That is still quality.

They are the same brand, but they are obviously different(although similar) microswitches. We were unable to use the exact same ones as in the Sanwa JLF sticks.

Those of you that already have the sticks, what is your opinion on them? Through my long hours of testing I find the feel unique enough yet similar to a Sanwa stick still.

Whoa, what? I thought these weren’t out till the 26th.

What’s everyone’s impressions on the feel? Anyone wanna disassemble a button and take some closeups?

I haven’t used it myself yet but would you say we’re getting to the point where it becomes a preference issue rather than a genuine issue of functionality? It’s always been “obviously use real arcade parts for the best experience” but you generally don’t see “obviously use Sanwa parts for the best experience” since Seimitsu makes perfectly good ones, too. Are we approaching the point where, say, the stock Mad Catz or stock Hori sticks will become just as reasonable an option as a JLF or LS-32 where “obviously use real arcade parts” is less clear cut?

I think we’re still going to see good reasons WHY the SA and TE sticks get a higher-price tag than the SE’s, Tony.

Honestly, I’m sticking to the sticks with full-up authentic arcade parts or ones that I’ve modded.

I’d pass on the Mad Catz SE’s and Hori Fight Sticks myself. There are better options or an MC Cthulu if you have to have a joystick for the Wii…

(Yes, I know that last sentence sounds kind of dirty… Three years later and I still can’t get over the fact someone named a game system “Wii.”)

Again I just ask everyone who gets a stick to try out/report about the stock parts on it before swapping out. Let me know how it goes for you guys.

Thanks!

Someone in SRK was able to receive his order of the stick.

I love this stick. The weight and design are nicer than the SFIV SE and the components feel much better. As I stated in my review, this stick is heads above both the Wii Hori and the PS3 SFIV FightStick. The stick feels as good as a JLF and the buttons are better than Hori buttons but not quite as good as Sanwa.

That’s correct, the pictures were taken before I swapped and tested a JLF stick.
Looking forward to using this when the game comes out.
Good work MarkMan !

My main question is, is it possible to get it to work on a PC for MAME?

Any chance that new stick is gonna make its way to an updated SE for SSFIV?

Not unless you mod it with a new PCB and USB cable (connects to Wiimote).

There is a Wii-Classic-Controller-to-USB adapter I saw somewhere in NewEgg.

Edit: Correction: It was play-asia. Here’s the link.

You could also get it slightly cheaper at ebay (since it has free shipping).

This maybe?

EDIT: Lol sfried I should really refresh my pages before I post.

Awesome news, doesn’t this basicly mean that even if the pcb ends up with something wrong with it, you got the equivalent of a spare Sanwa for padhacking?

Very nice. :lovin:

Just got an email that my stick should be arriving today in the mail. I pre-ordered the bundle from unity, kinda crappy that they are shipping both seperately and not together. Would have awesome if they packaged it like the Tekken 6 bundle. Im very interested to see if it feels different from teh SF4 SE

sorry if this has been posted, I skimmed through every page and didn’t see it asked:
is this the exact same dimensions as the SF4-SE? Does the template (for artwork change) for the SE fit exactly on the TvC SE?

Would be nice to see a part on the side to insert your wiimote to so it isn’t hanging loose. Might mod one with like velcro or something on the side to put the wiimote on.

You’re right there. That’s probably the only suggestion I would have for this stick which I would have loved to have seen. I’ve also received my stick and posted some very brief impressions in this thread over @ the TvC forum.

Last I checked, it’s still using the original SE shell but with new and improved parts and a PCB that works for the Wii.

Mine already came in today lol.

But I"m just gunna wait till the game drops.
