Agree to disagree on the story I suppose. I just found merging things like SFZ3 with SF2, having Rose coming from beyond the grave, pointing out Ken was brainwashed in SF2 and comedic stuff like MM from Legends calling Juno ‘Irregular’ AKA Maverick from the X series and not knowing why he said that - - or Captain Commando and Unknown Soldier confused as brothers - - those are little touches I liked. I suppose in some ways things like that were a fanboy’s dream heh! I guess it’s not for everybody.
I know vs. fighters are dream matches. I just wouldn’t mind if they put just a little bit of thought into it. The only game that seemed to even try with the story was SVC MOTM for the Neo Geo Pocket. I guess you can say MK vs. DC too, but that seemed forced to me.
Bandai’s cool. I really can’t see anyone thinking of Bandai first when it comes to a ‘Namdai’ fighter, myself Tekken and Soul Calibur jumps to the top of my head. Nothing Bandai has makes me really care if they ever meet a Capcom character. Unless you are talking stuff they make games for like Dragon Ball Z or Naruto but that would be another licensing mess most likely. Shonen Jump vs. Capcom would be dope. Only if Sagara Sanosuke got in there somehow. Though Sony owns the Rurouni Kenshin anime and games. So the licensing struggle continues. :looney:
well the only character they’re taking out is that fat genie guy (which I don’t give 2 shits about anyway). I don’t mind losing that character, i dont even like him.
Since scrap means “to discard,” which in turn means “to leave out,” it would seem that he has indeed been scrapped. But he is certainly the most disposable character, so we don’t lose much in the transaction.
Some how, I find it hard to believe that they couldn’t get the rights to Hakushan. Not when a whole number of the other Tatsunoko properties in the game have much more reason to be excluded.
Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if they left him out, because he’s an utterly shameful stereotype, and Capcom doesn’t want to risk the possible fallout that could ensue amongst the most lawsuit-happy region of the world (USA). :xeye:
Really, from what I understand, isn’t TvC kind of ruled by a very small amount of team combinations? Like, isn’t there 2 combinations or something that most players who know what they’re doing use?
Enough people seem to want it. Not me, but it’s not like I wouldn’t play it or buy it lol! Who knows, it may happen someday.
Recently Sven of Capcom USA spoke of why they did not make a bid for Midway. That would’ve been the easiest way to bring MK vs. SF out. Like Spider-Man says in the Capcom games, “SO CLOSE!”
Finally got around to reserving TVC at Gamestop today! Guy at the store said a lot of people are going to be pissed the day it comes out for not reserving it. They are either expecting it to sell out quick, they will not order enough copies or only care about reserves. That’s how Gamestop rolls around these parts. :cybot:
Would they count Ippatsu’s and Polymar’s resets as part of the combo though?
Also, it’s in practice mode right? Wouldn’t that mean that you could just set all of your life in the red and do an easy extremely overpowered Baroque combo?
huh. super meter set to infinite, anyone can do that. hmmm, but without baroque im assuming. maybe i can revise the death combo i did with casshern/ryu a minute back, and get it in. that level 3 with cashmoney does solid damamge
