Task by definition lacks mix ups. Because some other character (the assist) gives him the opening, him alone cannot create “high-low” mix ups, he doesnt have an air dash, he cant tridash and he doesnt have an overhead.
What he can do is tick throws, and frametraps.
vs a lonely Taskmaster you need to deal with his frametraps and his zoning, end of the story.
Meaty mighty swing its stupid, even if you back it up with an assist, it will leave you vulnerable to air throws and it can be negated by a well timed advancing guard.
Back in Vanilla your “legit” mighty swing was a real thing, because of the “auto tracking” that the move had you could create fuzzy guard set ups and real confusing mix ups.
Task incoming set ups are great against characters that doesnt have air dashes or air options, like phoenix wright… but any other character with airdash or air moves will escape.
The tiger knee arrows set up will pin them down even if the have air options, but since its a “slow” mix up and a lot of people know that once taskmaster throws his arrows, theres nothing he can do on the air, it can be x-factor cancelled by the opponent leaving you in a bad spot.
If you are looking for something really confunsing you will not get it out of Taskmaster.
Theres only 1 true glitchy thing with task and akuma, but it only works with certain characters, so you lose this option half of the time.
Dorms Black hole assist is used deffensively, while akuma is the offensive assist, they both extend my combos and have decent sinergy with task, so no, i dont have any trouble opening people up.
