Taskmaster combos - Anything you can do I can do better!

I don’t feel that the “new taskmaster bnb” is terribly useful. You basically can’t confirm it off of anything but :m: or :d::m: or else it just won’t come out. I’m very disappointed. Although, when you can get it off, it is super cool.

ARe u guys serious, i am running Hsien and her multi hit assist and still getting that combo, i even start it with j.:s: and j.:h: bec most of the time ppl always block low. And even when they are getting hit from Hsien assist i start the combo, wish i could show u guys.

Alright here?s a rundown of all assists and whether or not you can hit confirm them into the new bnb.

Yes means that you can allow the assist to hit then do the new bnb, and it will combo, also can be done mid combo.

Mid combo means that the assist can be used mid combo during the new bnb, but cannot be used to hit confirm the new bnb

No means it will not combo after a hit confirm, nor will it allow to be used mid combo.

Note: I didn?t test out whether the top 18 chars (jill to ironman), could be used mid combo, so test that shit out yourself.

Jill: all assists=no
Wesker: B=yes (plus unblockable combos into new bnb)
Chris: All assists=no
Doom: All assists=no
Shuma: All assists=no
Dorm: All assists=no
Akuma: A=yes, Y=yes
Tron: All assists=no
Zero: B=yes, Y=yes
Skrull: All assists=no
Modok: All assists=no
Viper: All assists=no
Chun: A=yes
Ryu: B=yes
Cap: A=yes
Thor: A=yes (not point blank though)
Ironman: A=yes (7 hits or less), Y=yes

Hsienko: A= mid combo, B=yes, Y=(projectiles=yes, bombs=no, and stun=yes, but the longer they are stunned the less chance you have of getting the combo)

x-23: A=yes, B=yes (unblockable into bnb=yes)
Phoenix: A=yes, Y=yes
Sent: A=yes (have to start combo with only one drone hitting), B=yes(only one bomb can hit), Y= mid combo
Arthur: A= mid combo, B= mid combo, Y=yes
Haggar: A= mid combo, B= mid combo
Hulk: A= mid combo, Y= mid combo
Shehulk: B=yes (but have to combo about half a second into the stun)

I’m surprised it was unsuccessful after Burn kick, that’s normally a decent starter for things like this.

didn’t combo off of burnkick even with just st. h, and the unblockable didn’t work either

Basically, save that combo for when you land a clean hit.

Double mighty swing combo with relaunch is still ridiculous in my opinion.

not necessarily, see before making the list if I called ammy and did a combo at the same time I would’ve done the old bnb, now I know I can do the new bnb when i call ammy and combo at the same time. It may decide a match, so knowing the situations in which you can do the new one vs the old one is key.

ok so i took a long break from this game…i’m just now getting back into it. i need help on the timing of j.:s:, land, jump, :qcf::h: (hold for 3 arrows), :b:+:h: (shield skill).

My :m::m::h: wiffs with the New BnB…Do you have to start the combo from :d: :m: for it to work? I’ve been attempting with :d: :l: :m: st :h: Mighty swing… but once i get to the :b: :h: launcher my :m: wiff on the way up in the air 100% of the time.

do it as you fall from the peak of your jump

i tried it that way and yeah, you can do it with :d: :l: :m: st :h: Mighty swing.

Why do u start with :d::l: it have shorter range an scales.
U should start with :d::m: and anything else imo other than :d::l:. But if its easier for u then do ur thing

IMO (maybe its just me) doing it with c.L made the S timing harder.

again, its been awhile since i played this game consistently and i’m just now picking it back up, but doesn’t L beat out a lot? maybe thats why he’s starting it out with L.

Is it that important that there only be one M before the 2nd swing early on? I’m guessing if we do 2 like normal something fails later down the line? Just feels weird to do swing, one M, swing after getting so used to swing MM swing.

the hit stun on the combo is odd and very sensitive, so in doing one M your assuring your self the combo, plus it flows nicely once you get the hang of it.

:d::l: is 5 frame startup

:d::m: is 8 frame startup.

In some instances, speed wins out over damage. Guaranteed damage, even if it’s like 5% lower, is better than no damage at all cause your opponent blocked the slower move or counter hit you during the move’s startup.

I don’t understand the end input with the 236 into 9. Or is that just how you show a tiger knee?

That’s a tiger knee as the up arrows won’t come down in time but the instant TK down arrows will.

Ok I only saw the combo once so I forgot how it looks, so you’re ending the combo by otg with 3 down arrows into L+H legion, and then as that ends you tiger knee with slanted air Legion arrows? And does this catch them while still in the air or is it otg-ing?
