Taskmaster combos - Anything you can do I can do better!

There was no need to delete the video stark.Yours was in better quality anyways.

Thanks to both of you for finding it though.

Yeah, you could just mention the other guy’s vid and all would be fine.

Nice combo man. How are you connecting the arrows after the MH in the air? Can’t seem to get it to work for me. Also which arrows is that? Parabolic or horizontal?

SRK IS FINALLY BACK UP

Been waiting to post this

Dammit, I pop in this thread to post that video and I’m beaten.

Oh well. Air Hyper Tasky Beam gogogo

amazing.

well damn.

Hey, now it’s on the front page

How nice.

Heres an unblockable setup using dorm that I don’t think I’ve seen anywhere before (and I’m surprised I haven’t). Also a video reply of the same setup but easier if you don’t need the full damage from chaotic flame to kill a character.

turn advance guard on

Pretty sure that if Dorm isn’t on screen anymore, advance guarding the Stalking Flare does nothing but lessen the chip and leave you in block stun for longer. I think this is a legitimate unblockable setup.

Unblockable setup AdAdAdvancing Guard edition.

The stalker flare left on the screen belongs to dormammu, so pushblocking that projectile pushes back dormammu. But since he is no longer the point character he cannot be pushed. Same thing applies to round harvest and as far as I know anything else you could leave on the screen and tag.

Pushblocking doesn’t move taskmaster out of position but it drastically changes the timing of the setup. Also I think it looks like akuma is in a free state for a few frames falling from the flare to the dark hole but I wouldn’t personally know what to look for to tell the difference for sure (that and the quality is horrible dear god).

Hanging yourself in the air with a pushblock at the very end of the flare could potentially throw off timing enough to mess up the setup and escape. Eating the flare and getting knocked away from the setup could potentially also get you out, but I’d have to play with it more and see if tm could follow that up with anything meaningful. At the very least eating the flare + vert legion arrow is a far better option than losing your character.

Edit:
Played around with escape by taking the hit. Over time I will keep playing with this setup (and other things!) and upload videos with my comments/musings on my channel. Though I am getting tired of playing on my giant tv in 4:3 sd and getting some of the worst quality videos on this crappy laptop. Will eventually get a real hd recording setup (late oct maybe sooner).

Video and comments are here.

Edit2:
I’ve uploaded a video about using this setup twice in a row, usage of x-factor, and the order of your team. Video is here.

Here’s a combo I started using recently.

cr.:m: st.:h: :f::h: j.:m: j.:m: j.:s: cr.:m: st.:h: :f::h: j.:m: j.:m: j.:s: st.:m: st.:h: :b::h: :s: sj.:m: j.:m: j.:h:(2 hits) j.:f::h: j.:m: j.:h:(2 hits) j.:s:

Does about…600,000, builds almost 2 meter, and goes full screen. Couldn’t do Duck Strong’s combo consistently, so I tried to change it up to make it easier to land. I tend to delay the second swing just a tad to make it easier to land, though I doubt it’s necessary. Just thought I’d share.

I’m assuming the easiest thing to do would be to pop X-Factor and just do the arrow super follow up to kill. But, saying you’ve already used X-Factor, do you think it’s possible to wavedash after Sent and get a jumping combo before the first super? And if so, will hitstun still let you do the second?

To the best of my abilities its not possible to wavedash from one corner to the other after sentinel. You can see in the video I dashed once and then tk legion arrow lm and that barely reaches him before he recovers.

Can the player x-factor out of that when the reach the ground? Does it have any space between the dark hole and task doing the unblockable?

XF into invincible reversal will escape during the dark hole, however if you are willing to burn your own XF (you know your opponent knows how to escape and has an incoming character capable) you can actually call the dark hole early and make them block the setup in the air then XF the headbutt and combo them. It may be possible to do the link in the air without XF but I havent had any luck using s.L or c.L.

Edit:
Uploaded a video of this here

Also for your second question that I forgot to answer, the space between when dark hole does its last hit and when your headbutt comes out is down to your own execution. It can hit them after they leave blockstun giving them however many frames to try and use an invincible move to get out, it can hit them while they are still in blockstun, and it can hit them before the final hit of dark hole hits and they will eat that and tech roll out…

In my personal opinion it is almost always a good idea to xf for this setup. Since it is one for incoming characters after a kill, doing so will either leave you against an anchor with xf on or it will win you the game killing their anchor.

Edit2:
While playing around with this more today I encountered something very interesting. Sometimes my target would be blocking a dark hole, block swordmaster, and then be hit by headbutt but CONTINUE BLOCKING. Its very clear when slowed down that there are hitsparks and the other tm’s health takes a small dent (headbutt is only 30k) but never stops blocking. I got this to happen about 6 times in an hour against she-hulk and taskmaster.

I’m not a Master of moves or anything, but here is a small combo. I did it while testing recording quality for HD-PVR

anyone find an new bnb for task in ultimate? also, could someone tell me if there is some trick to the relaunch with OTG with heavy arrows and the shield charge? one of the combos in the guide say to do that as well as i saw shady k do the relaunch in the video the other day, but i don’t know if i have the timing off or what.

I’ve been using cr.:m: st.:h: :f::h: j.:m: j.:m: j.:s: cr.:m: st.:h: :f::h: j.:m: j.:m: j.:s: :b::h: :s: sj.:m: j.:m: j.:h:(2 hits) j.:f::h: j.:m: j.:h:(2 hits) j.:s:.

Does around…510k I think? Got to delay the launch after the :b::h: to get the full combo after. I’m sure this isn’t the best combo to use, though.

The arrow relaunch is finicky to me. Got to get all three arrows to hit. I’ve hit it on Wolverine a couple times, so it’s possible. But I wasn’t very consistent doing solo relaunches in Vanilla, anyway.
