lmao, that thought crossed my mind as soon as i posted that
Unrelated: SF4 Koryu is seriously fucking awesome. You actually have a REASON to block high quite often now.
Koryu will be at tuesday gatherings from now until the end of time. Protip: don’t downback against Sim from half screen…
Uhh you have to block high quite often for a healthy portion of the cast in Super, sir.
EDIT: Although admittedly, I wish some specials had overhead properties.
Unrelated: Fei Long has some ‘slightly’ silly hit boxes.
Chris I’ll show you some silly Fei Long shit tuesday
What I meant was that you don’t spend such a disproportionately large amount of time in crouch block instead of stand block. They’re closer to equal, especially fighting against Chun/Sim.
I’d almost say that would be the case because almost all air to ground offense in almost every SF is able to be beaten by normals. That and overheads for all but a few characters lead to nothing but the paltry damage that’s assigned to them. (unlike Marvel where you have to just block most air to ground assault and overheads chain into launchers/specials)
Can you fuzzy guard in Koryu with Chun/Sim?
Peekaboo + One hit of Maximum Voltage = DHC Trick?
Back to the lab, Chris A, lol.
so games tonight, someone make it happen, I demand it!
Got that covered in post 350, lol. Hoping Chris can make some damage happen.
Chris: Absolutely. You’ll see why on Tuesday.
Ken has a straight up unblockable (oh btw he’s Sol), lp.hadou (slow moving, doesn’t disappear) roman cancel (mp+mk works exactly like a roman, you don’t have to dash or anything. It just cancels.) j.MK crossup kick. Oh, and the best EX-shoryu in the game. Fei Long’s is fucking great too.
That game is not legit unless you can press select mid match to switch your character.
Man gimme dat shit!
Also I might even buy AEPC for that Koryu AE!
Gratz you guys on the tourney win!
Anyone with the ps2 Hard Drive setup, can one of you guys help me out with that? I have a PS2 (Fat launch system) in my World Warrior Cab and I’d like to have the HDD setup rather than having to swap discs and such.
Sent you a PM with directions on FB.
Yo GGs to everyone that came thru to that tourney. Was cool to chill with Ron n Logan again after so long. I’ll be coming thru to see u guys soon in some marvel3. Im gonna have to come out n play with yall regularly since our scene in Jax is so wack.
I’m assuming this is Jeff? It was good meeting you. I look forward to playing you again (maybe when I don’t drop combos lol)
GG’s Drew. Good seeing you again. Glad I could help your Doom game a little bit
Marvel question:
As Wolverine, how do I get past Disruptor/ assist beam zoning? I was playing someone in casuals on Saturday who pretty much shut my Wolvie down. Trish could put in work, but that could only go for so long. The score was 15-11, but this was after a 7 game win streak he got on me because it was basically 2 vs 3 the entire time.
Can you call Trish to eat the disruptor and do a Berserker Slash? IE: She/her trap nullifies the beam? Maybe you can do his little OTG claw slide (used to be DF + HP) if you’re within distance for it? You wont get anything off of it, but it could scare him a bit. How about super jumps with odd timing on dive kicks? Super jump forward a few times over it, train him to try to dash under, then neutral SJ and dive kick? Just throwing out ideas. Disruptor spam is pretty godlike in this.
I would I could. Peekaboo gets destroyed by disruptor and I still take the hit.
SJCing was met by Shockwave. If he was out of meter, then it was more disruptor + doom spam or hed get on the offense whered I have to deal with him dashing all over the place, which I’m still trying to find ways to combat that without getting killed by his bs hitboxes.
you just have to be patient and super jump forward between disruptors and come down blocking, then land and repeat, until he changes his pattern or you get close enough to dive kick. lots of patience needed if they are zoning well.
