knee
medium knee too great spacer for guys who aren’t too sure about TK spacing.
Can also do, standing round house (up close on block) - pushes them back - standing medium kick (on block) - pushes them back - medium TK. You can mix it up anyway you want, basically remember that rh and medium kick standing both hit twice up close so they can’t focus you either, and if they block they are setting themselves up for knee traps as they get pushed further into the corner.
standard knee trap:
- crouching jab
- standing short
- tk
- repeat
MORE ADVANCED SHIT:
I call myself the dhalsim killer. I beat the top 2 dhalsims in america with my strats, can’t give all my secrets, but I can share some basic shit. On a side note, I am not bragging, they are much better players than me overall, it’s just that I really know the matchup, instead of doing research I invented my own weird way to play it so they don’t know what to expect. I can’t put this on the forum, pm me and I’ll answer any dhalsim matchup questions you have. but you can’t tell anyone or I’ll hate you forever.
This is turning out to be the best sagat thread out. mad props to everyone.
I’ll leave you with one basic tip that most people overlook. Most people fuck up TK spacing because they ASSUME the harder the kick the further it goes. This is not entirely true. If you notice the ARC of a medium knee vs RH knee, the RH knee jumps up much higher, but doesn’t go that much further, if it all. Dhalsim shoots a slow ass fireball. If at full screen you can hear him say “yoga” THEN he charges his fireball (leans back), then he shoots it. When you hear yoga, shoot a low EX tiger shot follow by a low RH tiger shot, they both hit. From up close, your RH knee jumps over his fireballs, if you do it at a closer distance you get the hit, if its further away - you’re in grab distance.
