S tier here we come.

^^ yes finally no more rape from carl and yes he going to be top S-tier

I wonder if you can combo after the rocket finger, if not, then it opens up the decision on whether to magnetize him after 360a or try to create more set ups.

Only in specific situations. After you IB, the resultant gap has to be big enough that your opponent won’t hit you meaty during your start up frames. 360+A is vulnerable until frame 4, so you probably won’t be able to IB > 360+A between true strings (but you can back dash). It depends on the character really. Between “false” strings or frame traps, you’re generally good to go. It’s hard to give a definitive answer because it’s all character dependent.

As long as it keeps the number of ICECARS to the face down, I will be happy.

My two cents:
I would suggest almost never using Terra Break. It very unsafe on block and leaves Tager open to a free combo after it is blocked. I only use it if I hit with the Magna-tech wheel and need to finish them off to win the round.

If you rapid cancel a blocked Magna-Tech Wheel and assuming the person is on the ground, you can 360, Throw, or 2B>2C>Atomic Collider.

But, take my advice with a grain of salt, I am only a decent Tager player at best.

I’m just saying if you whiff one, I guess on a blocked Magnatech I’d probably cancel, but if you just do it randomly and it doesn’t, they’ll probably run up and try to capitalize, no one really thinks about Terra Break so it could catch them off guard.

No ive seen people do it a decent amount, so i wait till the background isn’t blue to punish.

and if they block it, thats another 50% meter lost and youll still eat a big combo.

Im pretty sure the risk outweighs the reward, but do what you want.

Good news to the Tager community. He is getting a air snuff and they are making his hit box smaller. So no more getting frozen when the tip of the ice hits your big toe.

what do you guys think they will nerf since they are giving him so many new buffs

A friend of mine plays Litchi, and I tend to just time Tager’s 360+A/Bs and QCF+A/B when playing against him. In this case it’s a 50-50 on offense and defense for me.

Not very useful, maybe to prevent burst but

CH B sledge -> AH

I play against Litchi every once in a while so I can throw my 2 cents in here as well.

As already stated this match-up is nothing but a turtle fest. Boobie lady is going to be spacing you all damn day when she has her staff equip. But thats ALL she can do with the staff her mix-up and pressure game with the staff is very lack luster. Since her 5A and 2a don’t combo with 5b those moves aren’t much of a threat. 5B however is, this move leads to her 20 hit combo and possible corner mix up game. If your going against a Litchi that doesn’t properly space her 5b (it’s spaced properly if the staff is the only part that touches you) you can 360a her on reaction or you can IB it and 360a her if she tries to link something from it. If you weren’t able to throw her she might go for a 5c to 3c or itsuu c to push you out of range. IBing in between 5C and 3c can reward you with a 360a or 720. Be sure not to do anything stupid when your half screen away from her or she’ll score a counter hit with 6B or J.C. If she’s not spacing 6b properly or if they try and throw it out at the beginning of a round you get a 360a. She might also try and poke you with 2b (a low) and if blocked migh try and sneak her overhear 6a in. You can easily block this on reaction so this isn’t much of an issue.

When staffless she loses her range and priority but gains more power and mix up potential especially if her staff is nearby. I know there is alot to say about her in this state but I’m still limited on my knowledge of whats punishable against GOOD players. I will say this though if you see them using her 6c outside of combos 720 their sexy ass!

The idea in this match-up is to make them approach you so you can make your openings and do your damage. Try not to approach from the air her AAs are actually good against Tager as are her aerial attacks. Just stay your ground and get spark bolt asap. If you ever get stuck in the corner against her always netrual tech (don’t get caught up with how pretty her combos look) and keep a close eye on her animation so you know if she’s going for a low, overhead or throw. If you have 50% meter and she does stick buddy and is in range 720 her ass. Don’t make this a habit though you can get seriously punished for it. If they’re the type that like to meaty J.C’s for oki don’t do it at all. As all of Tager’s wake up options lose to meaty aerials.

Since your playing tager you should already know that this match requires alot of patience (wow nothing new there). You have to know when to sniff your holes out and time your punishment accordingly so that you don’t get baited. Luckly Boobie lady isn’t within the top 5 of the cast so so there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Just turtle up and play it safe ans you should be fine.

#1 goal in litchi matchup is to get momentum when she doesnt have staff. if she loses staff mid screen, the matchup is like 5/5, when she has staff, its impossible to get in without taking a risk, so more often than not, getting hit or at least blocking something isnt too bad as long as the game starts to flow with a melee fight and she activates staff.

Galileo shows off some moves against Litchi. XYH(voltic charge) Litchi’s DP and 360s her. All my matches against Litchi’s are usually lots of turtling, but the match in the video link actually looks pretty fun.

As of late that’s been what my usual Litchi match-ups, sometimes they’ll really lock me down like in that vid though. God those are bad times… =P

Tager looks too much fun!

OKay you guys enough about Litchi we can always come back to boobie lady later. What do you guys do against Jin. I just don’t know what to do against his rushdown game sometimes. What do you guys IB and punish in his strings (I already know about ice car & drives so please do repeat whats been said 50 million times before)?

In addition to sledging through drives, I usually try to backdash the jump forward spin kick thing, and try to IB any crossup attempts and 360a right when they land.
