Wait 5.5 vs. Hakumen?! Fuck I must really suck then, since I fought this really good Hakumen player that owned my Tager =/ I always started the match with his backdash, but keep mistiming Back dash–>360+A. Oh and he managed to corner me and spammed his St. C/Fwd+C…
Any tips for fighting against Hakumen?
Apparently, 360+A is really good against him, but i haven’t found it any better than fighting any other character.
But jump in 720 and 720ing while guarding is good, as his 720 goes through C most of the time.
I find that tager vs bang is my best match up because i can get him into a 720 or atomic collider with ease

well i dont play many bangs so i dont know what other ones do but when they throw those knifes i can get them into a collider or sledge them
Most decent bangs won’t throw shurikens right in Tager’s face, to make it harder for you get anything out of a sledge. You must be playing some pretty bad ones.

a good bang is really hard to get a hold of with tager. his strings are made of fairly slow hits, so backdashing can actually get you hit quite often, and it’s fairly hard to put a 5A in between his hits. The autoguard moves also stuff your A counter-poke game.
Most bangs don’t toss shurikens haphazardly (good ones anyway), so getting a sledge on them is few and far between. To make things worse the 6C -> 5D finisher doesn’t hit on him either, so you need to resort to other trickery.
Your best option against a good bang and his stupidly good strings is IB->360, which I’m fucking horrid at.

Basically, cancel your jump with 2D, kara cancel into 720.
He also lists some common problems with this.

Missing directions because of sloppy input.

Hitting D too slow. Tager ends up jumping.

Having full charge, Spark Bolt comes out if you spin the wrong direction.

Hit C too slow, end up with just the normal 2D.
Of course, I haven’t been able to do this for myself.
