Ok and how is this going to be proven? you come, play 1 of them, and then you win 2 out of 3. That means you’re better? Everyone that will be on the Team Canada 5 on 5 has been beaten before. That means that someone who I know is a really good player who has beaten Ack in tournaments or has beaten Me in casual play consistantly, will not be on the 5 on 5 team. That’s right. Amazing players are getting benched. Including you. Take that as the highest sign of flattery that you’re going to get.
Who do you have to beat to get on the 3s team? No one. You’re simply not going to be on the team. It’s not a Toronto thing. Otherwise I wouldn’t even be listing Veasna. Maybe if you went to ECC, Midwest, and/or Evo last year, I’d actually get to see you play over a long period of time. It’s nothing personal. If you beat one of “Toronto’s best” 10 times in a row, i’d want you on my team for a team tournament! But this isnt a team tournament. It’s a 5 on 5 against non-toronto people. I’m just not going to put someone who I dont know (and for that matter, no one knows) on the team. I understand that you’re unhappy with this, but that’s the way it’s going to be. So don’t come to T7 if your’e going to cry all weekend about not being on the 3s team because you won’t have fun. I’m sure you own up Vancouver like Moe Powell owns Edmonton. I dont want what happened with Naysayism last year to happen with you.
I mean this is only being said because it’s me who is calling the shots. If DarkDragon suddenly says that I’m no longer in charge of making the 3s team, go ahead and try to convince whoever does end up doing it that you should be on it! This isnt hate. It’s just how I’m running things.

Actually your logic kinda crumbles if you really think about what you are implying. I think Bry picking the team is the fucking stupidest idea I have heard in a long time. Everybody knows that the decision will be biased, and will exclude the talent of out of towners. If by your logic i win the qualifier and still don’t deserve a spot (when you arent even that much better than me for all Im concerned, cause I dont choke like you) then you dont even deserve a chance to be on the CVS2 team cause a multitude of people have had previously better tourney results (team should be me Js and the rest montreal if thats the case). The point is that you are making a huge discrepancy between the skill level of me, you, Genn, and Js and even Matt for that matter, which really isn’t that huge when you think about it. Just play the qualifier if you guys are so good, because if its truly a consistency issue, you will qualify then won’t you?. and it gives you good practice to beat up on scrubs like myself and JS and Genn before the 5 on 5

After talking to a few people, I realize my 1st plan will not work. There would be one person who thinks the other shouldn’t be on the team and vice versa. So I want to make a few things clear:
Bry and Sam’s spots are locked.
There are those who believe that Sam does not deserve an auto spot, mainly because he lost to Arcade Kid in the recent mtl tournament. Regardless, Sam has proven time and time again that he was, is and still is one of the best players in Canada and thus does not need to prove anything.
Even without practicing, sam placed top 3 (only losing to bry and Alex) and I have no doubt his mtl crew are now pushing him to practice up so I’m 100% positive we’ll see the only Canadian who has beasted all over Justin wong, beast again.
Like the other 5v5s, I am trying to form the best team here.
Regardless, with the help of others, I have come up with 3 possible options and I want the marvel players (from ALL coasts) too look them over and agree on one.
Option#1:
We have an open quali on june 24th. $15 a head. The pot goes to the prize in the Best in Canada Challenge.
Top 3 gets noted.
When Tao and JJ arrive in T.o. they get one chance to challenge only one player on that noted top 3. If they defeat that player, they get the spot.
Option#2:
We have an open quali on june 24th. $15 a head. The pot goes to the prize in the Best in Canada Challenge.

On thursday, July 20th, the top 3 along with Tao and JJ with have a 5man round robin to determine who gets the final 3 spots.
Option#3:
On July 20th, we will hold an Invitational round robin to determine who gets the last 3 spots. The out-of-towners should be in T.o. by then so there would be no delays and whatnot.
The machine will probably be in normal mode so it will be $10 a head and the pot goes towards the Best in Canada Challenge.

This is an improvement… but still a shameless and unfair stunt that may keep one deserving player off the team. Hopefully it doesn’t. All this has done is shown favourtism towards Sam and screwed Tao and JJ. I’ve been told that Sam is on the team because he wont come unless he get’s an automatic spot. That drops my opinion of him considerably, sorry. He should decline his auto spot and join the qualifier if he doesnt want to be on the team by resting on laurels from years ago. If he’s that godly then he’ll rape everyone else and be on the team with zero doubt. Just the fact that he’s being shielded from qualifying tells me something about how good he is right now. I will be tracking every single one of his wins and losses while he’s here. If he gets raped by JJ, Tao, Gerjay, JS, Roger, me or anyone else who might lose out on a team spot… you can look forward to my posts.

When I went to MAT and talked to Sam about T7 and the Best In Canada challenge he told me that he was on board and he was coming this year. Whatever, you can never tell with that guy. At T5 he said he wasn’t coming and then just randomly showed up and won the tournament. MAT IV everyone said he wasn’t going to show and then he hits up both team and singles tournaments.
