I made this clear to Wing a little over two weeks ago as it concerned the non invited players to the CvS2 qualifier:

If the tournament is under 16 players, then someone wanting into the qualifier needs to tie 5th or better

If the tournament is over 16 players, then someone wanting into the qualifier needs to tie 7th or better.
Simply put, if you can’t crack top 5 in a smaller tourney or top 8 in a larger tourney then you don’t have a case. Everyone on the invited list not only does that but does it consistently (including myself, as shitty a player as people say I am) so all those other folks should be able to pull it off if they’re as good as they think.

Against American Players anyways watch the 5 on 5 last year Jon won 3 out his 5 matches ? And didnt go down easy against J Wong and Sandford now what happened to gerjay? He got raped every single match and barely won against the chick can u even compare?

The Q match I can only consider a fuck up at first. I’m sure we all underestimated her at first. Bottom line though is that Gerjay beat her.
Gerjay more than held his own against Matrix. In fact he played great until Matrix got the one corner combo that iced him. One combo doesn’t = rape.
Neither the X or Sanford matches were pretty.
The JWong match was actually more than in hand. Gerjay destroyed his Magneto and was doing very well for himself. he just ran into issues with Cable/Sent. It’s not like anyone else was able to beat Justin.
So yeah… hardly rape. There were a couple of matches Gerjay “could” have won but hindsight is 20/20. He more than held his own against monster players and he has my (and many others) full confidence going into this year’s 5 on 5 if he qualifies.
