Oh yeah, for the record, in case you hear the “It was the sticks” excuse, I can honestly say that we have homefield advantage because we play on those sticks all the time. They can really affect the whole mvc2 gameplay, RCing in CvS2, and whatever it is in GGXX.
However, when it comes to 3s, ricky and justin use Chun Li. You can’t have a shitty joystick with Chun Li. If the stick works, then you will play no differently no matter where you go. Why? because all you need is a down, down towards, towards, and a forward kick. You do the motion for the hit confirm so slowly that the stick doesn’t matter. The joystick excuse just doesn’t fit here. I don’t care what anyone says. I hate those joysticks more than anybody and even my Chun Li plays flawless (to my ability) on it.
Out.
btw Marc i’ll buy you drinks/hours when we go to easynet for not paying for 3s teams. I didn’t care about paying for the tournament but I didn’t know you made up the difference for it.
Going through the footage I took, I see a dark brown Urien playing the Empire players before Jeff/Ack’s red Urien came on. Am I to understand that this was not part of the 5on5 and merely a bunch of casual matches as a warm-up?
Yeah, know it’s a common name. We have a Sam who plays a good Potemkin over at DVC. He also happens to be in Canada for the summer so I figured I see if it was him. But I guess not.
I have nothing against Empire, and It’s great that he was able to bring everyone up here, but I find it ridiculous that the “Empire” organization sponsors players without having any income.
Right now it’s coming all out of Triforce’s pockets as far as I know and it looks like he’s spending way too much money into a gaming community where 90% of the players are broke and there’s no money in it besides the small prize money.
You should sell t-shirts but I feel the empire theme is not fan-friendly because it seems too dark, authoritative, and threatening… you said it yourself your goal was to “conquer” canada. I just don’t think players have that in mind.
Triforce you’re a good leader and you can bring people together but you shouldn’t be spending money out of your own pockets to continue this role-play… Unless you’re loaded you are taking money away from your future family/house/retirement and I think it’s just plain stupid.
Or, how about they not post them up! Maybe save all the matches for a DVD that they can sell and make some money off of for all the hours and effort they put into organizing the tournament! Yeah!!!
… Wtf? Empire wins CFJ without playing and u call that a defeat? Lol isnt that more like a tie? Even so beeing 1 match away from taking mvc2 from EA was fucking incredible good shit to all the player on the 5 on 5 ur fucking beasts I’d like to Thank Nagata Lock for hostin this event it was all fucking awesome had some amazing moments tons of fun
As Team Captain for CFJ, I would be the first to say that while we’d put up a fight, it would be quite an uphill battle for us. Consider the fact that only 2 members of our team even bothered to join the singles tourny, plus the fact that all 5 members of team Emprire finished 1st 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th, It’s safe to say they would of won.
Now granted, I still would have liked to play, but due to time constraints, this just wasn’t feasable.
I just wanna say that I very much enjoyed T6! Canada, your competetive drive is so strong and I have always admired that about you guys.
Nagata: Great job man, yeah its too bad we didnt play eachother like the whole weekend. R2 Vega all the way
