Hey, Im new to competitive SF and I thought this would be a great tournament for me to start getting serious. I was going to bring a friend of mine and we were going to drive uo (its only like 30 minutes away) and we were both going to use my Arcade Stick. But a few of my buttons are now really unresponsive and I wouldn`t trust it in a tournament and Im not going to be able to fix it anytime soon. Would we be able to use other people sticks for our matches? Im really sorry if this is a stupid question, Im just really new to this.
It’s never a guarantee, but people are always willing to lend out sticks. Just make sure you ask them well beforehand, so you know they’re not going to need it during a match. Just ask politely, introduce yourself, and i’m sure most people won’t have a problem with it.
killer screen name sir
Thank you pal
ughhh
i’ll probably just go for cauals since im not good anyway
i have no problem with a stick but i prefer the ps3’s d-pad
it is what im most familiar with.
will there be anybody willing to teach a scrub?
you’ll learn when you play in the tourney.
Russell: If you need any help running brackets, registration, or anything else just let me know.
Mickey, just buy a converter and call it good. Also, is this three day schedule set in stone or are we predicting a cave in to people bitching? I only inquire because if I book the day off work and it reverts to a two day schedule I’ll have something legit to troll over and we all know that me with facts does not bode well.
Regardless of what schedule the game runs, the event is 3 days.

Clear my confusion, you have BB singles listed on both friday and saturday on the schedule =)
Preferred: Singles friday, teams saturday.
tnx
where can i find one of these converters?
and how much will i need to spend?
Emily: When are you back from HK or Japan? I’ll talk to you on July 31st. Probably just registrations and not brackets. I know there are other things so we’ll talk soon.
MickeyD’s: Ebay, i believe somebody gave the name before for the best converter but I don’t know what it is. Invest on a stick if possible. Pads are good but hmmm, it’s limited. Of course I can’t tell you what to use.
NeoRussell
Russell: now your schedule says BB teams twice lol
Should be good now. Got confused at something.
NeoRussell
buy an xconverter plus off of ebay and use a ps2 pad if need be. The shoulder buttons take an hour to get used to…your not going to learn stick in an afternoon lol
thanks for the suggestions guys
but i can’t order online.
still in school and my mom has issue ordering online unless we actually went to the store and asked them to ship it to us.
If anyone is attending please bring some sort of way to convert a ps3 controller to xbox.
if not
ill just bring my ps3 and anyone who has ps3 equipment won’t have much to worry about.
thats not going to work man, tournaments are on 1 system only. If i attend I will lend you one. It depends if im in vegas or not. Again, you need a ps2 pad, not a ps3 one
i meant for the casual stations
that is if neo lets me
He was referring to this:
It’s not possible right now. I think there are a few converters, but they’re either really expensive or aren’t lagless and even some of the 100$ + ones lag I heard. You will need to go with a ps2 controller.
take my advice kid and drop the pad , just learn stick your sf life will be much easier
