condor dive not being safe kinda makes it seem like the move is useless wouldnt you agree? unless it knocks down, then it cant be good for closing in space.
Maybe it has low landing lag? And maybe you can use early condor dive the same way Gief uses LP green hand after SPD? And it knocks down iirc.
it will be fine as long as doesnt take long for him to get back to the ground, otherwise i see alot of DP>FADC>Metsu in his future

If Hawk has no throw whiff for his Typhoon, there’s zero reason why you shouldn’t go for the throw loop every time. If you say there is, you’re wrong.

Not much more to say about Hawk until the game comes out, to be honest.

T.Hawk was one of the first characters who appear in SSFIV(the other was Juri) and so far many things about his moves and his gameplay has been discussed.
Until we have new info the only thing that remain is the release of the game to see the character and have a better view to discuss.

At 1:25, Sakura blocks dive…judging from the apparent blockstun…it looks safe depending who you’re against. Dhalsim, Seth, Blanka, Balrog, Honda, Bison, Cammy, Fei, Rufus, Deejay, Makoto and Dudley look to be characters where it’s unsafe 100% of the time it’s blocked.
That’s almost 1/3 of the cast…which isn’t too bad I guess. I’d take that over unsafe vs everyone.
this hawk dive looks like ST dive. if thats true then depending on how high/low you hit them and who your versing will depend on if you get punished. i will be satisfied if it is safe in at least some situations.
what really sucks is if its blocked it looks like a free forward RH> ultra for sagat.
I was worried about this too. If this ends up being true, that’s an instant deal breaker for me.
Or even Kara TU. But Hawk shouldn’t have too much of a problem with Sagat BS as long as Hawks c.HK is Sagat s.HK safe.
I’m putting my hope into Hawks’ far st.RH against Sagat more than anything else. Stuffing tiger shots from centre court baby.
If it’s only kara TU-able, I have no problems. TU got weakened, so it’s not gonna hurt too bad unless he has meter and if Angry Scar boosts TU damage.
Looks like he got a version of his awesome long-range jump RH from A3. Might be good!
