T.hawk!!! Yes!!!

I’m gonna main him, and have been for years. I am also intrested in that new guy harkan (if he is still added)… I will always main grapplers.

Eww, that english voice feels a little weak, might have to keep to the japanese one.

Yeah, you T. Hawk fans got f’d over with that English voice.

Wow, lots of replies to my question .

Good to hear not everyone has jumped ship. If T. Hawk is higher than Ken on the tier list like you predict gridman, then I’ll be happy; upper-mid seems like a good spot for him. I think he has better tools to get in and stay in than Zangief, so we’ll see how things play out in the end. It also depends on what I think of Hakan, so who knows, I might end up being a hypocrite .

The fact that T. Hawk’s English VA sounds white pisses me off to no end. I’ll probably end up sticking with Japanese, but it depends on who makes the better SPD noise.

I just think Condor Spire is going to be a really useless move. Just by looking at it, it has some decent start up and will most likely have bad recovery. And hawk dive on block is probably going to be brutal

Unfortunately, I’m inclined to agree. In one of the IGN videos of T. Hawk vs. Juri, she blocked a Condor Spire and punished it with cr. roundhouse :bluu:. The T. Hawk player was functionally retarded when it came to blocking though, but I’m not hopeful. Who knows, the LP version might be safe? This will be the first thing I’m testing when SSF4 comes out.

As for Hawk Dive being unsafe on block, I hope Capcom learned their lesson about this shit. It’s the one thing that consistently puts T. Hawk at bottom tier. I’m pretty sure it was safe on block in A3, and it seems like they’re modeling him after that game, so there’s hope yet.

Like look at how he bounces back when he hits it. i can only imagine what its like when its on block. free ultras all day. the dive that is.

im not droping him, dual main rufus/hawk but if ibuki is anounced im going to have a really difficult decision :cybot:

This.

I wouldn’t say useless. Back when Killian gave the hands on demo of the first 3, I noticed that Hawk’s dash looks a lot like condor spire, which made me think of mind game potential on wake up. Like you sweep somebody, then dash in, go for a grab. next time you use condor a little delayed and hit the person attempting to backdash. Use the same tactic and if they jump do Tomahawk buster.

I totally agree. Like is Capcom on a budget where they had to get the voice for Dan, or Ken to do Hawk also? Get somebody who at least sounds like they’ve smoked.

T. Hawk has been my favorite grappler since WW. While I wasn’t looking to main him, I still like his style over Honda (my current go-to grappler) any day.

I must say I’m really disappointed by T. Hawk’s voice. He sound like a boisterous teenager, not an incredibly large Native Amercian grappler.

Blah blah, hate his voice +1

But another thing that bothers me is why is his Ultra called “Raging Typhoon”? It looks nothing like a typhoon. Something like “Seismic Destruction” or something would be more fitting.

T. Hawk’s voice is terrible in English, but I guess I will get used to it. Why does he have to sound like he is a 5’6 American boy?

But otherwise, T. Hawk looks amazing.

i agree his voice sucks
that little boy voice doesnt match well
deejays voice sucks too
but everyone else sounds good to me

4/6 aint bad

I like Dee Jay’s voice, has the nice Jamaican accent mahn. T. Hawk is the only one that is messed up. I personally think Adon’s voice is the best of the 6…

I would say all the english voice acting leaves something to be desired but maybe that’s just me :[ I like the new announcer though

True dat.
Where’s his native accent? Why’s he sound so lilting? Haven’t his balls dropped…? :wtf:

Hearing him has put me right off playing him.

:lame:

Yeah, I’m still tripping off the fact that the new announcer is the dub voice of Lord Genome. I keep expecting him to break into some monologue about Spiral Power.

As for T. Hawk’s voice, it’s certainly younger than sounder than I expected, but I’ll probably still use it. Then again, I’m apparently pretty lenient on English voices compared to a lot of other people–the only English voice that bothers me is the other Mexican’s, El Fuerte’s.

Getting back into something more important than a voice, I just got around to seeing that demonstration video of T-Hawk: .

So, knowing his entire movelist now, I have to wonder if he’ll be given a command overhead since RDP+P is now an entirely different move than what it was in SFA3; I hope this means said move will now suck less while still avoiding low attacks. Unless that move or the Hawk Dive hit high, he may just not have one like Zangief, though I’m hoping that he does get one since he has far fewer throwing opinions than the Red Cyclone.

I don’t know why T.Hawk would have the same voice as Dan. Maybe it’s a temp.

He’s going on the Japanese voice setting for sure. So is Juri. And Guy.
