Sorry .
Uh have you played ST Hawk seriously once in your life? If you havent why are you even commenting? Hawk relies HEAVILY on psychic DPs in a lot of his ST matches. Dont know why youre throwing out some wacky assumptions about 4 when youve never played it.
I mained Hawk for ST. I used his st.RH instead of DP. Worked fine for me.
worked fine cause you ass son.
Probably. I mean, I was like 6 or 7 years old at the time I picked him up.
St.rh is good but its not goin to get you in like a psychic DP would and carries nearly the same amount of risk.
I was thinkingā¦condor spiral, why didnāt they just give Hawk Dive 4 different commands.
3 PP +
U/F - a verticle HD
F- a horizonal HD (ala condor spiral)
D/F or Neutral - regular doward HD
B- HD backwards, retreat. Basically getting away from your opponent pressure
I suppose you could do a 8 way HD. D/B or D HD could give us potiential set ups?..You think that would be too much? Just rying to give Hawk some more depth and variety here.
Iām all for more depth, but I think this over complicates things execution wise. Besides, you shouldnāt really want to be āgetting awayā at all with Hawk ideally. Heās always been about getting in, which is why they gave him the hori dive. You should be the one putting the pressure on if youāre using him.
This would actually be kind of cool, itās definitely a good suggestion.
Thing is though, I think the developers want to maintain the classic gameplay of returning SF2 characters, with a few modern twists like EX moves and juggles and whatnot.
So how many prospective T. Hawk mains did we lose to the newly announced 3? I know Doopliss and I are still on board .
T hawk still exists after this announcement?
Haha. Iām still going to main him. I donāt think thatāll change even when Capcom seems to be including all my SF mains into SSF4. xD
Looking to Typhoon you real soon!
Not me. Thats for sure. Predicting him to be slightly above ken in the tier list though. (like say if he was added to sf4 now, without knowing what other new things there are)
Ever since that rumor list came out, I knew that there was going to be a number of characters I would have to try out before committing to a main. At first T.Hawk wasnāt on my list of potential mains. But the footage of what he can do, coupled with theory on what he could do convinced me. So T.Hawk is still on my list.
T.Hawk
Juri
Dee Jay
Guy
Adon
Ibuki
Dudley
Makoto
Rolento
T.Hawk all the way!
I will still give him a fair shot for sure, but Adon is like THE main for me, played him in all the Alpha games and just a big fan of the Megatron/Starscream thing him and Sagat do.
But grapplers are my bread and butter and we still donāt know what everyone does, time will tell.
I have to admit that Dee Jay caught great part of my attention the first time these guys were announced, Juri too, I guess T.Hawk never was as important as other characters to me, but now I have been interested on him, mostly because of the videos that I have seen lately, his ultra looks really cool and he is just like I remember him from past games, so he is okay.
I will give him a shot, thatās for sure, so I will keep an eye on this thread.
Not me. T.Hawk will be my new main whenever this game is released, now and forever. Grapplers forever!
Heāll still probably be an Alt for me. I was never dropping Ryu anyway, but when it comes to a purely grab SF character, Hawkās my weapon of choice.
I was interested in seeing:
Juri
Dee Jay
T.Hawk
Guy
Ibuki
Makoto
Dudley
Karin
Half my list has been confirmed. The way itās shaping up, Iām going end up trying to become high level with like 10+ characters, lol.
Definitely still in for being my main, with Makoto as my secondary (pretty sure sheāll be in, all the announced characters have lined up with the initial rumor). Also keeping up with my current main (Sagat) as a tertiary.
