I like the last one best. The other 2 looked like they didn’t know the matchup. Juri never punished any blocked CDives for instance. But the last one looked like you just beasted him.
I agree with this. The last one was really good. You played really patiently and made really good reads. I don’t think anyone else could’ve done better.

me vs a very good zangief, the U2 now work sweet
Thanks guys for the feedbacks! I’ll use him for the first time in a SSF4AE tournament here in Manila. I hope i do good…
Any advice how to fight Guille, Dhalsim and Seth? These will be the characters to be used by the best players joining the tourney… thanks…
Guile is going to want to play his really simple version of whipping tons of fireballs, then punishing you when you jump. The goal for him should be to keep moving forward and cornering him, and do whatever you can to score that first knockdown. From there, you can do typical T. Hawk shenanigans, just watch out for a wakeup flash kick.
Dhalsim is similar. The key difference is that he doesn’t need to move to keep you out. You need to be VERY patient. Like with Guile, just slowly move in. Once you’re in his face, you should have little issue. If you’re on top of Dhalsim, there are 2 things to watch out for: Super and teleport. Don’t let him get away from you. After all that work, you don’t want to waste it. This matchup sucks, to be honest. Its one of the reasons why many T. Hawks either have a second character, or we kinda wish we did.
I don’t find Seth to be too difficult. He has low damage output and low health. If he hits you with a fireball or a far fierce on the way it, just go with it. A basic way you can look at this is Dhalsim with a shoryuken. He’s easier to get near to than Dhalsim, however, so take advantage of that. Just be aware of the shoryuken and the command grab when you get close. This is one of the few matchups where I use Hawk’s heavy command grab over the light, just because of Seth’s crap health.
^^Thanks! Will keep in mind all of your thoughts on these matchups.
Which is the most efficient ULTRA should i use against these 3?
This. I’d also like to add that with these Matchups, many times I like to do whiffed LP Condor Spires after landing LP/HP Mexican Typhoons. Having meter to get past those projectiles is just extremely essential in these matchups, and thank goodness for the new EX Condor Dive. As we know, T.Hawk has a really hard time competing with any projectile characters on a grounded game, and the new EX Condor Dive is just so helpful when we’re forced to take to the air sometimes.
Concerning which Ultra to use, I strongly believe that it’s best to go with Ultra 2 in ALL matchups now. T.Hawk is already a legitimate threat upclose with Mexican Typhoon regardless of having Ultra 1, and so I really believe that having the Ultra 2 makes T.Hawk more threatening overall. Tomahawk Buster is just so highly vulnerable to trades/whiffing, and with Ultra 2 being so good now it gives T.Hawk a reliable and genuine answer for an Anti-air.
Agree. Ultra 2 is just great. ESPECIALLY if you can get the typhoon going early enough to bait jumps or dashes. Plus, if you happen to be playing well without meter, you can still get Super which packs enough of a punch on its own.
I don’t think that it’s the best for all matchups. There are some matchups where u1 is better just as a general punish than u2.
It’s just my opinion. I just have a strong personal belief it’s best for all matchups because T.Hawk already has a Command Grab he can do without Meter/Ultra, and the U2 is undeniably his best and most reliable Anti-air option.
At about 3:45 you can see the U2 scaling glitch when it scales and when it doesn’t. Though I haven’t been able to make it scale, this video proves that sometimes (if very rarely) it does scale damage.

EDIT: looking closely at the state of Dudley when U2 is activated it does appear that the timing is slightly different between the two. So it’s not just random and is probably when it hits that makes the glitch. (as someone in another tread surmised already)
No worries, I wasn’t trying to hate or anything. Just posting my opinion lol.
I use Ultra 1 against Guile
I use Ultra 1 against Sim
I use Ultra 1 against Seth
Ultra 2 is only good in specefic mathcups and online scrubs that jump…
If you say its good VS Guile, Sim AND Seth then you don’t play enough good Sims, Guiles, and Seths.
Yes its broken against scrubs but against good players they are going to KNOW what your options are. . . .its worthless.
Ultra 1 also gets you out of those games much quicker… Im a fan of Ultra 2 but in those match ups its pretty useless.
It’s just my opinion. It’s true that I probably don’t have as much experience compared to most T.Hawk Players here. I know that for most T.Hawk Players, one of their biggest complaints about U2 is that it’s hard to get it out fast enough to Anti-air. For me though, I don’t find it too hard, in fact I can use it almost as fast as Tomahawk Buster. It’s just such a good tool, and overall I believe the U2 makes T.Hawk more threatening.

Ultra 2 beats everything Guile does on wake-up that isn’t block (wake-up ultra flash ruins that option). So, what are good players going to do on their wake-up when you have U2 stocked and you’re willing to throw it out? Yeah…
1st and 2nd doesn’t know the matchup let you get away with a lot of bad tactics.
3rd, finally learning and punishing the unsafe things you did that worked in the first 2 videos.
My problem is good Guiles are not afraid of ultra 2 considering good guiles will just space you out making ultra two useless. I mean the risk reward is kind of even considering that if you whiff the max damage you get is like 300-400> but for me its just not worth it. Guile is a match I just want to get out of ASAP. 510 gets you out of a match faster than 450>
Ultra 1 has a lower hit chance than Ultra 2 in those situations though. =/
So, Ultra 1 may do more damage in one push, but Ultra 2 is going to land unless you’ve found a way to condition the opponent to block on wake-up during the course of the match. That’s assuming you get in at all, of course. Then neither ultra is a factor.
