Good for him.
Watch Europeans apologize for him and just generally be a bunch of pussies.
audience = vaginas
i don’t get why everyone is so pussy when it comes to religion, especially islam.
i mean i get it, but i think free speech is worth dying for.
Don’t know about you guys, but in the real world, if you talk shit about someone, or something, and you offend greatly, chances are you gonna punched in yo’ mouf. If you talk shit about MLK to some black people, you gonna punched in yo’ mouf. If you talk shit about Ho Chi Minh in North Vietnam, you gonna punched in yo’ mouf. If you talk shit about Gandhi in India, you gonna punched in yo mouf. This is just reality.
So with that said, how in the fuck can someone honestly sit there and say Islam is a religion of peace with a straight face. You got the most batshit strict religion coupled with the most batshit zealous followers, so is it really that shocking that the end result is a whole lot of violence? Is it really that shocking when you talk shit about their Prophet and get headbutted. IN YO MOUF. Islam is a religion of crazy violent mother fuckers, so you white people/westerners need to stop fucking with them.
Fuck yeah, EUROPE! Love that ultimate sign of anger is headbutting people. We should definitely adopt this in the U.S.
World Cup with Zidane = Headbutt to the chest, now this nonsense. Fucking amazing! Shit, even more amazing than magnets. I have no idea how pissed somebody would have to be in order to just go out and headbutt somebody. Screw it, this thread is now about incidents that made you want to headbutt the offending person.
Since when is it okay to punch someone in the face if they offend you?
You’re in shoryuken’s GD. That is not the stupidest thing you have read and I assure you that it is fruitless to continue that line of questioning.
you will never see muslims learn anything if its just one or two random people (no matter how famous, or justified, they are) doing shit like this. You’d need a large scale amount of people to do it, and let their part of the world know that we just don’t give a shit. If they wanna ban it in their countries, whatever…but elsewhere in the world, behave like a human being not an uneducated fucking animal
after the announcer says “Round 1…FIGHT!”
oh, and if they’re MUCH smaller than you
Since when was it not OK?
This fool just insulted the most important figure in a religion to almost 2 billion people. What the fuck was he expecting? How is it NOT OK for these people to get mad? They are human with every fucking emotion there is, how can clowns like you and Pertho sit there and act like they’re supposed to continue behaving like some law abiding robots? Get the fuck outta here, that’s not reality.
The world isn’t some rosy fucking playground where people willingly let the “law” settle shit for them. That simply is not enough.
and that’s worth the risk.
imagine how shitty life would be if no one was willing to stand up and say controversial things.
no south park, no boondocks - everything nice and safe and boring.
free speech is the most important freedom. without that, you got nothin.
ya! i’m punching ono next sf4 event for disregarding a game that millions of people spent over a decade learning. because that’s how intelligent adults solve their problems!
I’m a Christian. If somebody draws Jesus’ head on a dog’s body, that person’s well-being is not at risk.
This is because Christians are not violent on a massive scale.
Because not liking a videogame is even in the same realm as insulting a major religious figure of a batshit insane religion, right? People like you are dumb as dirt.
Spuddlyff8fan: I agree with you man, you Christians used to be out of control, but you got your shit in check now, so you’re cool.
Hmm…considering I get to read about more cultures than you could count as part of my major; not a single thing that I write is tinted with anything resembling roses. But to bring shit down to your retarded level, every culture does things that you may not enjoy; or rationalize things in ways that may not make sense unless you have that cultural background. Because of this, when you travel somewhere and expect them to bend over for you (this could be anybody, not you necessarily), you are acting like an asshole. The university proffesor was nowhere near the middle east or Malaysia (which is THE biggest muslim country in the world), where his cartoon could be seen as offensive. There are a variety of things at work that allow him the ability to draw that cartoon and understand he is safe. The person who attacked him on stage was the asshole; because he did something that is not culturally accepted. He expected an individual living in his own culture to go about his life in a different way. This is wrong.
Now, under the beautiful system of laws that the United States has enacted, we have come to a consensus that going around slapping each other is not the way to go about solving things. Because I respect the laws of the country I migrated to, I understand that this is part of the package. And while the first amendment allows me to continue some of the practices of my home country, the laws of this one still apply. Because this person commited the attack in a country where this is frowned upon, once again he is a piece of shit. If he were in the U.S., it would be the same thing. While there are certain aspects of hyper masculinity that come with the competitive nature of this webforum, somebody saying something mean is not a good enough reason to cause physical and/or emotional harm on somebody (this last one is suspect).
If he went to Malaysia, drew the comic and was sent to jail, then I may not like it, but that is just the way they roll over there. If he was in Iran and he showed the cartoon, causing a backlash of physical violence on him; it would be deplorable but he was being an asshole. I understand very well that not everybody plays nice, and that feelings get hurt when everybody is allowed to talk. But I assure you that the person’s actions are in no way justified legally nor culturally because of the country that he committed his actions.
Violence is the real shitty way of solving things a good 95% of the time. That extra 5% are special cases; and even then you don’t have to get that violent. This is a matter of thumb biting at an international level. But regardless, I assure that my glasses are significantly less pink than your pussy. Now stop saying stupid shit.
What the fuck are you rambling about? You’re exactly the type that would type what you just did. People like you don’t even deserve a proper human response because you come off as a complete tool lacking any sense of reality.
Your entire post can be summed up as ‘it’s against the law so you shouldn’t do it’.
Why thank you, Captain fucking obvious.
Just because it’s against the law it doesn’t mean people will stop acting people.
What part of the word reality did you not get in my post? Fuck you and your laws. In the real world, if you look to offend, people WILL get violent, and they couldn’t give two fucks about the consequences.
It’s this cartoonist every right to draw Muhammad, it’s his every right to offend, I didn’t say nor even hinted that he shouldn’t be allowed this right. But how the fuck are you gonna sit there and act like the people who reacted that way they reacted are somehow barbaric or out of line when it’s perfectly natural? This dude was looking for trouble, it’s his right, and trouble found him. It’s simply the way it is. This is the real world.
It’s like those kids who purposely wore the American Flag to school of mostly Mexicans on May 5th. Sure it’s their right, but don’t fucking act like they weren’t doing it on purpose or looking for trouble.
Don’t go acting like an asshole then hide behind your Free Speech and Freedom rights when you attract OTHER assholes that you’ve offended.
Sure it’s your every right to get in my face and call me a slanty eyed gook, but it’s also my every natural reaction to put my foot in your mouth. No amount of laws or authoritative figure is gonna tell me otherwise. This is the bottom line. This is the real world, get that in your thick skull.
Ofcourse not, just portray Jesus in a homosexual position, and you’ll get similar results, don’t act like Christianity is on some moral upslide from Islam just because there’s a focus on crap like this incident.
If this guy did his drawing about your mother, I guarantee 90% of you wouldn’t hesitate to lay this punk out.
Now, multiply that feeling by 100 fold. That is how Muslims feel.
Until you read an accurate account of the Prophet’s (pbuh) life by an accredited Islamic scholar, you will never understand or even scratch the surface of the motives behind incidents like this.
While I don’t condone the retaliation of these few Muslims who are among millions and millions, I don’t condone what this “artist” did either. This artist simply wanted publicity, and he got his wish.
Yeah theaters got firebombed when The Last Temptation of Christ came out and that movie didn’t even portray Jesus negatively. Actually, it is the only film to portray him positively as a man with real motives and emotions and not as a loud speaker sprouting biblical verse or piece of meat waiting to be scourged.
complete BS everyone knows how they feel.
he knew what would happen (thought not on the scale of what occured) and set out to provoke people with pejorative images merely to provoke them, not even to humor others. Instead of simply condemning him as a dick and moving on, mullahs made the bad move of organizing protests and calling for his head. The artist thus got the last laugh and Muslims were actually made to look bad by causing an uproar over something trivial.
90% seems a bit high. I dont think anyone here would be willing to stop playing videogames, buy a plane ticket, look for this guy for weeks in a foreign country, then finally get find him and beat or kill him. Most people here would not go through all that trouble just because of the opinion of a total stranger. … hmm…If he was alone and in your face then maybe.
anyway this nigga he needs to carry a piece to defend himself with
