Castiel is really bringin the unfiltered truth to Dean.
So I’m beginning to think that Ruby isn’t the “good Demon” she is portraying. I think she is milking Sam getting him slowly to move over and question the Angels and shit.
sams never really shown that strong a distrust in the angel…its dean that has. But i agree ruby is up to some shenanigans…his psychic powers maybe helping weakening the seals or possibly feeding the devil who knows…shits to vague right now. not enough evidence. why trust a demon now when they have never shown signs to be good before.
lol@ sams n deans mom pretty much being buffy.
soo many back to the future references its not even funny.
and wtf at that destiny talk…if destiny is supposed to happen…why shit change. also time travel is always fucked up, cuz now u question if the shit went down the same in the past or if dean caused the shit to go down. lol. suddenly having flashbacks to red dwarf episode where it turns out lister is his own father.
Where I got the idea was last episode(i think?) when Sam mentioned that Dean was brought back by an Angel. Ruby got all scared and said something to the effect of “He won’t care what I’ve done I’m a demon and he’ll attack me anyway”(not the direct quote but that’s what I gathered from the convo).
It’s little things like that statement which make me think that she is trying to play the part of the persecuted and sway sam to thinking that the angels aren’t as good as he thought they were.
Now the only problem with this theory is through-out the entire series whenever “divine” powers are mentioned Sam has should unwavering faith in that they exist and that demons are evil.
I believe Ruby is trying to blur those lines by showing that all demons aren’t “evil” and all angels aren’t “good”.
Maybe I’m reading too much into this but that’s what’s been bouncin around in me 'ead.
Sam has always been more trusting of people than Dean, so I think it makes sense that Ruby is trying guide him toward Azazel’s endgame (especially when you consider that Lilith probably doesn’t have the same goal in mind, since she was repressed while ol’ Yellow Eyes was around and is afraid of Sam’s power).
Anyway, yeah, I don’t think next week’s episode will address the ending on last night’s episode. It’ll probably be a mid-season thing. Plus, I read in an interview a while back that the episodes of this season might not go in chronological sequence, since they are going to explain the entire for month gap between Dean’s death and resurrection but haven’t yet.
I don’t think Lucifer is the leader of Hell. Most of the low tier demons don’t even know he exists, and those who do know also know that he’s sealed away by God Himself.
My guess is this: Azazel and Lilith both know about Lucifer, and Lilith was probably his underling at some point (since she’s been around since Adam’s time). When Lucifer got sealed away, Azazel assumed leadership and repressed Lilith with his power. When Azazel died (I wonder where demons and angels go when they die), Lilith assumed his previous leadership role but did not know/approve of Azazel’s plan, so she decided to try to free Lucifer.
Meanwhile, Ruby doesn’t approve of Lilith’s plan and might be privy to some of Azazel’s old plan (maybe she was a high ranking officer) and wants to surreptitiously bring it to fruition by using Sam.
I was under the impression that “locked away” meant “stuck in hell” and freeing Lucifer was allowing him to walk the earth… not let him loose again in hell…
The other thing is that the lesser demons don’t even know Lucifer exists. He is a mythical god to them, so it wouldn’t make sense for him to just be walking around Hell.
Was it ever explained what they demons wanted Human Souls for? When you make a deal with a demon and he takes your soul do you just go to hell or do you become a slave for that demon?
