How did they lose the Colt? They got it back last year from Bella the episode before the season finale if I remember right.
i’d love for them to take a hella left turn and go islam since they know their gonna either get cancelled or end the show with the next 2-3 seasons. just give a big fu to the execs at wb.
They never got it back from her, unfortunately. She gave it up to try to get out of her deal, if I remember correctly. It didn’t pan out.
I said it only favored monotheism. I never said it locked the show onto Christianity or any other specific faith.
However, this does remind me of another point. Remember Castiel’s first appearance? Dean and Bobby were protecting themselves with symbols and artifacts from every (established) faith in the world, and Castiel just walked right through it all. If you really dig deep for this one, you can say that that scene implies that all faiths are wrong. Combo that with the monotheism angle from above, and you do have the show more or less affirming one of the big three faiths.
The show isn’t going to get canceled. The story is going to end.
my bad I misunderstood this statement then -
Anyways I think it would be interesting if they worked in something to the effect of saying that all religions have it wrong. Done in the correct way I think it would be more satisfying than X religion is right. But I guess we shall have to wait and see.
That was improper wording on my part. I meant to reference the Apocalypse from Revelations.
Interview with Castiel. I think it answers a few of the speculative questions here. Unless he hasn’t been told what happens later in the season. But some good info in here.
Really good episode tonight…wow.
That ep was the shit.
so…
[details=Spoiler]I wonder what Sam and Ruby were up to during that time. From the preview for next ep, it doesn’t seem like it will fill in the blanks. Regardless, Castiel isn’t wasting any time bringing the realness to Dean. Gotta nip that shit in the bud.
But goddamn Dean. He just can’t catch a break.[/details]
Really touched on some things…
milf
[details=Spoiler] 1. It was Dean’s family that were hunters…not John’s side as I thought.
-
Yellow Eyes was dealer like the crossroads chick? He did kiss Mary (Ewww incest).
-
Castiel is an asshole…I’m starting to like him.[/details]
So how good is this show compared to say … prison break! Trying to find a new show to watch since I just did a 4 season marathon of prison break !
cheh,
This has become my favorite show at the moment. I’ve never had even a slight interest in Prison Break…that concept just never grabbed me. Funny how it’s still “Prison Break” but they seem so far beyond that now…kind of a no-win situation though since you obviously can’t change the name of a show that’s already established and has been on for a few seasons.
yeah, Sam and Dean’s mom back in the day = HOT. This show always has such Prime? TnA.
Anyway, I’ve never actually read up on the heirarchy of angels and demons…and this season prompted that curiosity. It’s quite interesting, and there’s huge story potential with that stuff. I’d go there too and steal a few things as well if I were writing/illustrating a comic or cartoon…(*which I would do if I weren’t the world’s laziest artist of all time. Really, my work ethic is so damn terrible it’s just sad. Oddly enough, this came from deciding to major in art…but that’s a rant for another topic.)
*Grandpa = was that Mulder and Scully’s boss from X-files?!
*I still miss my honey Bella though…ohhhh that girl was magic.
MILF
[details=Spoiler] Actually Dean’s mom, Mary, was pre-milf, but tasty as fuck. Mama mia!!
-
Yeah, that was a twist, I was thinking she might be a demon at first but the Hunter family was quite the twist. Lol at the origins for Sam and Dean’s names.
-
Man that was just nasty. Yellow Eyes deserved to get shanked like the witch demon from last season for making old girl kiss him while he was riding her dead father’s body.
-
I was thinking his occasional pop up were mainly due to the strain of keeping Dean in the past, because if he actually did do the whole pop in and out with cryptic lines thing on purpose… that fool was a huge asshole and a dick. And not the good combination of the two.[/details]
Yeah…I meant’s Mary’s side of the family rather than Dean. Typo on my part.
I missed the whole Dean and Sam name origin.
This episode had a weird Back to the Future type vibe…I was hoping to hear Huey Lewis and the News.
Its better than Prison Break IMO.
Most of the episodes are done in one affairs with a bigger plot building over the season. The humor is usually spot on and the action is a lot better and usually much more gory than your average Prison Break episode. I’d try to start in one of the earlier seasons but usually like I said, all you need to know is that it has two brothers that investigate and hunter supernatural occurrences.
Thanks for refraining from posting spoilers. I’m going to go watch in five minutes.
And yeah, for those who did extra research on angels, Metatron has the coolest name.
EDIT: And yeah, I couldn’t get into Prison Break. I really never saw the appeal.
I used to watch prison break until they broke out of that second prison and I thought it was dumb.
Tonights episode about Dean’s mom was sick. Also, I wonder how he’s going to get Sam to stop using his powers?
it’s funny how that demon sets up a deal, making it seem like such a casual, harmless thing…(of course, “harmless” if you overlook the fact that you just struck a deal with a demon)…“you want my soul?”
“Naaahhhh. I just need to swing by your place for a minute in 10 years, that’s all. No big deal.”
I’ll have to get the dvds…I’ve missed out on a LOT of the earlier seasons.
Its weird, they played ‘back in time’/‘power of love’ in one of the last episodes i think. I think the devil should get in a lower demons ass for getting a soul… thats his job:rofl:
its such a weird take on the whole contract angle…every other movie or show the demons are soo upfront about how they make deals…this mutherfucker is using semantics as his tool.
