Good episode, I thought. I thought Bobby was in for it, too. I’m glad they’re showing how angels would really be, imo. Superior, and lacking in kindness. God loves his monkees.
Aside from some emergence of upper tier demons or the dead angels mentioned being cherubs, I am still not fully buying Castiel as a trust worthy source of information.
And Lilith was only weak in the face of Sam somehow completely immobilizing her power thus causing the retreat. Although I don’t believe that she is the big bad to worry about this season either.
Possible Spoiler
[details=Spoiler]Personally, I think the reason Dean was brought back definitely has to do with the angels wanting a weapon against Sam. Dude was supposed to be heading up Yellow Eyes’ demon army, I am guessing that his powers extend to angels as well.

good points which hopefully will be fleshed out well.
what i find interesting is…i know u mentioned that christianity is the overall religion but i disagree…since lilith is actually a jewish thing from what i understand. she was created before eve. mixing of religions
What actually has the power/ability? The Colt, or the bullets? Because they sure made an issue out of how many bullets they had left in the first season…
Of course it was. Remember all the talk and worry about wasting bullets? Why wouldn’t they just slap bullets from the ammo store in once the stock ones ran out? The special nature of the gun itself was made pretty clear when it was introduced to the series.
Personally I feel the season finale will end with them stopping the apocalypse, or failing to stop it…
I agree that they are using Dean to appeal to Sam, I think Sam is going to take a negative turn later on in the season and they needed Dean to appeal to the “brotherly love” factor.
And just because they have Angels and God doesn’t really mean that it’s locked onto christianity. Iirc Islam has Angels and God is just replaced with Allah.(as far as the higher ups).
Obviously there are going to be more nods to the christian faith as that is what the majority of US citizens practice.
I’m still fairly interested in where this story arc can go, and lets be honest…It’s a hell of a lot better than Heroes is…
