Super Turbo Tournament at Evolution: Las Vegas, NV July 30, 2011 1pm

Kuroppi! add me in please!

FYI Mizuki told me he will not be streaming. I’ll have my camcorder with me but it only has about two hours worth of charge on the battery. If someone wants to join me on commentary let me know

I can help on commentary for some of it if you don’t have anyone else. (I just decided to go to Evo this weekend lol)
If I should bring my US board, let me know. Had a good chat with DGV and I’m happy to help run brackets. I’ll have a stick as well.
My iPhone can stream but that’s a crappy option – hope we can get it going!

Sup Ghaleon, if you can bring your US board that would definitely help. I’ll give you a ring later on to discuss the tourney/Cali life etc haha.

Does anyone have any streaming software? I have a Verizon 4G card for the net access.

I was filled with a lot of regret over not getting to enter the ST tourney last year. Not making that mistake again.

Sounds great, let’s talk tonight anytime. Also I’ll bring my psx-Jamma converters in case someone can please try to fix them -MP is broken on each player side :frowning: I’ll pack my US board tonight too. Btw in general I’m really happy to see this come together for ST!

Ghaleon and Grog commentary, shit’s going to be fun!

Honestly even though I’ve been playing for a long time and got to play to play with the SBO team in Japan last year and shit, I’m hoping we can get guys like UltraDavid or Chen on the mic over me. I’ll be trying hard leading up to the tourney to recruit whoever we can to play this and 3s this weekend, so hopefully we’ll have plenty of top OG names in attendance.

Any word on streaming possibilties? If we can’t do that then I’m happy to record and post on the SB channel, which has a pretty nice online presence and would be nice exposure for what we’re doing. Spence recorded them last year but we are yet to see that footage :frowning: this is too much ST to have nobody on this.

DGV has a 4G card and I have a dual core 1.4Ghz laptop.
But I have no idea about streaming software and whether my laptop can handle it.
A recording device like the dazzle is also needed.

Please also remind every player about the button mapping mode of laugh’s converter.
Tell them not to press all the face buttons and start button together.

If the control seems to get stuck (directional input not working), it’s probably in button mapping mode. Simply press jab, strong, fierce, short, forward, rh in that order to get out of button mapping mode.

Regarding recruiting players.
If you want the japanese to join, it is absolutely necessary to talk to Nekohashi.
Recruiting rate goes up from 50% to 95% with his help.

He also speaks very good english and can help communicate with the non-english speaking japanese players.

So whats the count for boards? Do you guys have 3 now? I thought I was gonna be able to borrow a small supergun, but its not quite set up with my adapters so I’m bringing mine and now space is tight. I can squeeze it in if necessary, but if you guys have 3 already i’d prefer to leave it

I’ve been somewhat out of pocket for a while, but here is my update on what I can bring with me. I won’t be available at Rio until at least Friday night, however.
[]2x PSX-to-JAMMA adapters. These things are configured for a DB15 output to the arcade device, so I hope your superguns can support them.
[
]1x U.S.A Super SF2 Turbo board, non-Pheonixed, A+B. I am making this available from me only for the tournament and perhaps a bit before for practice/casuals.
* 1x supergun set for video output to RGB component and standard RCA sound. Video output is pretty dark, however. I’m not planning on using this for more than casuals for various reasons. This supergun is not wired to accept my Laugh converters. If anyone can fix this for me, please feel free and maybe we can use this as well for tournament.
* 2x TE sticks (all stock Sanwa parts) rewired for use with the supergun described above.
* 1x 23" LCD TV display. Will be used with supergun described above.
I am bringing my supergun + TV mainly for other games but ST casuals can and likely will happen as well. Hopefully at least some people like to play CPS2 Marvel and Alpha games because that will be the primary function of my supergun throughout the weekend. I’m assuming the ST board and 2x Laugh converters I’m bringing will be enough for the ST tournament execution. I don’t want to have people rely on my supergun for tournament due to many technical reasons. I just don’t feel that this supergun is ideal for a serious ST tournament, especially with the potential amount of money on the line here.

See you guys this weekend.

Kajoq: We should be good in terms of ST boards…we’re currently at 5.

Bernie: Thx for the update. If you can bring:

1)2x PSX Jamma adapters
2)US ST board
3) 1x23" LCD + 1xsupergun + 2x TE sticks for the casual station would be a tremendous help. If you need help lugging all this stuff from your car, just shoot me a text :sunglasses:

Does anyone have some RCA sound speakers (portable) that can attach to the superguns? The CPS2 A boards accept regular audio inputs. I currently have 2 sets of speakers available. Assuming we can lock up all the tvs, we may be able to pull off something extra =)

actually i just went out and grabbed a capture device for my laptop.I can record matches for st and vs in svideo quality as long as my jamma capture card plays nice with the superguns.my laptop is also powerful enough to stream with dudes 4g card.so we can make something happen.either way everything is tested working and packed up.my flights at noon so I will see you guys friday around 3.

zenblaster, I will have s-video splitter cable and audio splitter cable on my supergun.
Just need your laptop + your dazzle device that takes s-video & rca audio in.

Please talk to DGV regarding my setup.

DGV if you want head & head setup AND support streaming, you can use my supergun with sync cleaner (so the composite output looks good).

One composite output to a TV, and then s-video splitter cable to another TV + a s-video cable to the capture device for streaming.

I also have a pair of computer speaker that will take RCA audio input. So you can use the audio splitter cable to the speaker + the capture device

Unfortunately I cannot make it to EVO this year because of family visiting.
I’ll try my best to catch the stream if there is one!!

Cool.
