This is where we will need the support of the community. Needed equipment:

-Banner Stand for promotional purposes: I can bring a couple 32x42 banner prints aka wall scrolls featuring ST art. If somone has access to a stand that would be perfect.

-Streaming: If anyone has access to stream equipment and would be willing to stream the tourney, that would be greatly appreciated.

-Judges? We may not need to go this route, but we’ll let the community chime in on this.

Special Thanks to Rufus, Papasi and Kuroppi!

I like the image, very classy. Guess I’m going to Vegas this year, after all.

sigh… very slim chance i’ll be at evo this year. this event seems great! hope to see some footage/stream

I am totally down for this… However, I am very afriad that it will get cancelled or stopped short, as past events have. Is this why you have the early start time? (good idea by the way!)

However, the Friday start date my be difficult to make. Though, I understand why it has been choosen.

If I’m going, I’ll stream for sure. Hopefully I’ll have a good pc there at the event.

damnit now i have a reason just not the means.

gawdamnit.

Mizuki: Thx for offering to help out. I’ll put you down as tentative for streaming.

Fatboy: My fellow old man. The decision to go with early Friday morning/afternoon was to ensure that the tournament would go as planned with no INTERRUPTIONS. Since most people attending Evo will be arriving on Thursday/early Friday for SSF4 pools, we figured Friday afternoon would be an optimal time. Opting for Saturday would mean competing with numerous other side games/pool play, which means fighting for floor space. Plus, early start time means that we don’t have to deal with the evening special events. And for those that care…Daigo is usually always there on Friday afternoon…

Original post has been updated with updates to hardware

I may as well ask here so everyone will be aware

Do we have to register for EVO in order to participate in the ST tournament?

You do not as this is only a side event

Updated original website link on the first post. All that’s left it so finalize the remaining equipment (which should be soon) and generate hype =D

I should be entering this. Wheres the hype?

NY sucks! I’ll bet $15,00 (paypal) they won’t take the thing!

Yeah, we do suck. I’m just playing to support the event and kill time

With the announcement of the official Evo schedule, the tournament will now be run at 1pm on July 30th (Saturday)…a new banner will be updated with the correct date/time.

Sup Arturo…glad you can attend. Hopefully more of the EC guys can attend.

Will there be casuals or other ST events held on Friday and (probably not) Sunday?

There will definitely be casuals on Friday (late afternoon/evening). As for other ST events, we’ll look into it (we’re definitely open to suggestions)

My humble advice is don’t over-reach. At least half of the ST/HDR side tournies in recent years haven’t finished. If this one does finish successfully, I’d wing it on the spot and maybe do something else once that happens.

Just my 2 cents…

Damn $40 to register seems high…

How much would you spend getting to Vegas, getting back, and spending one weekend night there?

This is going to be huge and I can’t wait!
