Of course stick performance is identical, it was never intended to be any different. Well, it is, we changed the lock mechanism to better suit tournament players.

From my experience the “sharp” edges aren’t a problem. I played for a couple hours with no marks, scrapes, bruises or blisters. I use my hands a lot and have pretty tough skin so maybe that helps me. All these nerds with silky smooth skin need to go out and get a hard days work under their belt

According to multiple posts in this thread it does have an updated PCB. We were talking about the case.
Could they not round out the edge of these things a little bit? Poor design I say, either that or corners were cut when buying materials. I was going to pick one of these up in GS this weekend, but after hearing about the sharp edge decided otherwise. I got my hands on it. I would not say that it needs to be recalled, but it sure as hell would get on my nerves. I play for hours at a time and theres no way I could put up with that.

Here is a pic of the Xbox 360 TE S open from when I modded mine this past weekend with an Imp/Mcthuhlu and a shakycam of the new PCB. I made a post in the Imp/Mcthuhlu thread that the PCB is a bit different as the Xbox guide pad is now not the top right one, but the second from the top.

This is a question on the old TE stick. Has anyone had problems with the door clip snapping off? Mines just broke the other day…
Played various games with one of these at my friend’s house for about 5 hours straight. Wrists felt fine. People complaining are just pussies.
You must have bought it… I just called them to see if they have more and they said they had none.
Was finally planning to get a new stick and buy one of the SSFIV ones, but now I can’t decide if I really want a “s” edition anymore due to the it’s sharp edges. Might just have to get a round 2, although it’s a bit silly considering I could be getting the newer revision for about the same price.
I just got one of these today in black for the Xbox 360, at first i did not have any problems with the edge. But now that i played with it again tonight, it really started to get to me.
I am more then likely going to try in fix it, other than that. still a great stick, has the same quality as the original TE and the RD2 TE
Dunno why the edge is bothering people anyway. Try using an older HRAP with sharply cut plexi, edges on the TE S artwork ain’t got nothing on that.
I doubt I’m the only one thinking this but… sorry the SSFIV Tournament “S” Stick is FUGLY. Specially compared to the original SFIV Tournament Stick. That plexiglass sticking out like that looks like some scrub’s first-time stick mod in a plain wooden box. And the overall design is fail, they took out the sides the original had, now it looks like a plain… box?
Sorry, it just doesn’t feel or look like anything that would be part of a real street fighter arcade. I just realized I appreciate my original TE stick a lot more now.
