actually for the professionals in here a question …
after buying your brand new SSF4 TE Madcatz joystick
what is the best way to “Test it out” to ensure that there are no PCB or “Timing” issues ???

anyone else received their stick with their PSN home button rotated clockwise about clockwise about 15 degrees? Should I ask Madcatz for another stick? It’s kind of annoying when I see it crooked.
please God let these pcb problems be isolated issues and not with 90% of the ssf4 sticks because i’m not getting burned twice.
For those that were wondering, GameStop stores have been getting the TE ‘S’ sticks in this past week. My local store got the white X360 one in-store, and the manager at the store said he could order both color variants for the X360 and PS3. I ordered the white/black and the black/black for the PS3. Can’t wait to see them in person.
My buddy just got his, got to give it a whirl last night. It certainly looks good, but after just 10 minutes my wrists were in bad shape. Who’s bright idea was it to have a sharp edge right where your wrists goes? Geniuses.
Like earlier post said, these are now starting to show up in GS stores. I saw 2 whites yesterday at 2 different stores. I had to show some self restraint lol. I just bought 2 MvC TE’s a couple of months ago.
You guys need to do some physical labor and toughen up your wrist skin.

just how bad is this sharp wrist-killing area?
I have a regular TE stick… wonder if the smooth top area is swappable? I want the art, smaller size, features of the TE stick… but I don’t want wristbands to be a requirement
Well I dont mean to insult the guy, but seriously though, this was not a good idea. I didn’t buy one of these, just played a friends for 10 minutes, and even after that short of a time it was bothering me. The bevel on the other TE actually served a good purpose, and I didnt even realize it. I remember just thinking the bevel was kind of ugly, but removing that was not wise.
I dont mind them trying to double dip us, Im not buying it anyway, but Im just pointing this out to those looking to spend money on it, try it out first before you buy if you can. They’re just trying to get your money, thinking you’ll buy anything even if it had limited testing. If this went through a thorough usability session, it would have never passed without something smoothing that edge out.
If you dont have either, the original TE is better than this due to the bevel alone. Everything else seemed pretty much the same to me. I do like the dark artwork though, unfortunately the design of the case is flawed.
would putting some masking tape over the edge fix the problem?

All righty so if you have large hands and use the stick as a palm rest then it’s gonna annoy the fuck out of you. Thing is, this depends on how you arch your hands while playing and if you even rest your hands on the stick at all or with any reasonable pressure.
Something I just found out: I kind of like it when I don’t rest my hands on the stick. Weird.

I dunno whats up but I played for 45 mins or so and my hands don’t hurt at all. You guys must have some frail hands

i wonder what this sticker is for… but yea the edges do bother my wrist whilee playing for just 30 minutes.
i had a question for those who modded with art’s plexi. is art’s artwork paper material more thinner then the stock artwork? if it is then maybe the wrist problems won’t be a big deal…
You got a ps3 stick and there is no microphone jack like on the 360 TEs. Madcatz made one chassis for the TE and simply modded that square hole for each respective stick.
I LOVE the original TE stick. In fact, I bought two of them! I just sold one to a buddy to pick up a TE S. God, what a mistake. Stick performance is identical, only now we have to contend with a freakin’ razor at the bottom edge of the stick!
How in the hell did that stick go into production like that? Nobody else noticed blood dripping from their wrists after 10 minutes of play during play testing?
They need to recall these things.
