it is well known, that the ingame vsync option is pure garbage, turn it off. your system is fast enough so you don’t need triple buffering or an artifical frame cap.
forcing vsync in your gpu driver menu and setting the render ahead queue to 0 should be sufficient.
when i run the benchmark it tells me i get over 200fps and everything is running great however, when im playing and even in the menus i have that random slowdown people keep talking about. it’s like playing on a 2 bar connection even in training mode.
i have it on fixed mode with vsync turned off. i’ve tried it in windowed and full screen mode.
just like some other dudes i turned on fraps to see how badly the frame rate was dipping but fraps shows a solid and consistent 60fps.
goddamnit how do i fix it.
it seems triple buffering helped some user with the same problem. if you have an ati card you can force it with the tool “radeon pro”, another option is “d3doverrider” (which also works for nvidia). though the later one is a little bit dated. you might need to run the game in compatibility mode, otherwise d3doverrider won’t detect it in windows 8.
edit: seem radeon pro also works with nvidia cards for most of its features.
Anyone have any idea how to speed up the overall game speed? I have the steam version and I would like to work on my reaction times.
I noticed something strange that may not be specifically PC related. I don’t have the other versions of the game, so i can’t test for consistency.
I play on a hitbox and pressing left, right, and down is supposed to net neutral right? Well kinda. If you’re on 2p side it works like that, but on 1p side it still allows you to double block. Why is that?
Note: if you have SOCD cleaned hitbox, this won’t affect you at all. You’ll still get neutral if you press all the buttons.

I’m not able to record anything from AE or even take screen shots. It’s on full screen, and when I take screen shots, it’s either completely black or it’s a screen shot of my desktop. Cam studio isn’t working, so I tried ezvid and it’s not working either. Does anyone know what I should do?
I know that the Steam version of AE has a built in screen capture (F12) which screen shots instantaneously and shows your game screen only.

I dont know what Im doing wrong but I cant get RadeonPro to stop the massive screen tears.
Is it bad to just use windowed+shift window instead ? That got rid of my screen tears but I couldnt tell if it runs as smooth as it would full screen. Dont want to handicap myself if its not necessary.
I’ve had the PC version for quite a while and I bought it through STEAM and from Europe, Sweden. These days I live in Japan though and I only just installed SF again to try it but I am finding 0 matches no matter how long I search. Not finding anything seems really weird so I’m wondering if something is getting messed up since I am in another country now and I have the European version or w/e?

SSF4:AE crashes every time I play it. I’ve tried uninstalling GFWL and the other thing in control panel, and reinstalling, but it just keeps crashing.
It happens before I can even get one game, or during games, or after a few. It comes up with “SUPER STREET FIGHTER 4: ARCADE EDITION has stopped working.” every time. Please help.

Hey guys is there a mod for this type of problem? Bassically when you finish a match , you have to wait untill game will add points to your PP or BP and you cant skip this , is there a way you can do this, just remove it and continue as fast as possible?
Solved my issue. It doesn’t crash at all when I run it in windowed mode. I don’t know why this is a fix but… I’m happy now at least.

Hey guys just tried to sign into gfwl to play and got this message- “Online Interaction not available with gamer profile” What the heck is going on? I tried to sign in multiple times and it won’t work. I’ve never had this problem before. What’s going on? If this is the wrong thread for this I apologize.
ok i have a huge problem with using anything that’s not an official xbox pcb. i will get dp’s instead of fireballs for example. i tested in training room and it appears that the down direction will randomly drop or input twice instead of once. so not only does this affect special moves but also blocking from a crouching position. at first i thought i had a messed up switch on my stick so i changed the whole thing but the problem remained. changed the harness. problem remained. changed from Toodles imp to a ps360+, problem still there. if i use a TE or Qanba there are no problems. and weirdest of all, sometimes it works normally but the majority of the time it has issues with the down input and diagonal inputs. it’s so fucking annoying because i’d rather use my custom stick for pc instead of the much bigger TE and qanba.

tested it on my xb360 and had the same issue. what are the chances that two different sticks, a jlf and ls-32, both had faulty microswitches for the down direction
