Having a bit of trouble with button inputs in this game. After a bit of playing (maybe about 15-20 seconds in) my arcade stick will not recognize that I’m pressing the kick buttons. I’ve posted a short video here showing you what I mean if you do not understand. Hopefully someone knows how to fix this.
I have the Steam version of the game running on Win7 x64 and a fairly new high-end system with an AMD GPU.
I have 2 concerns right now:
Is there a way to get the game fullscreen on a second monitor? I tried the Win+Shift+Left/Right shortcuts and ShiftWindow but both produce only a black second monitor and the game still runs on the primary. I don’t know if I’m right but windowed mode feels a bit laggy.
Generally the timings feel weird, I don’t know if it’s because a tiny bit of lag or the PC version has a different timing compared to the Xbox version. Please take a look at my config file and tell me if it’s okay or if I need to change something:
the triple buffering option in amd catalyst only affects opengl games. if you wanna have it in direct3d games you need an addtional tool, like d3doverrider or radeonpro.
it’s also recommended for fighting games to set the flip queue to 0, which you can also do with radeonpro.
well make sure that your system is fast enough or lower the graphic settings so that you can always mantain 60fps. another thing is of course the reaction time of your monitor and maybe an input lag introduced due to the gamepad adapter (if you are using a console controller). there you have to do some research on your own which hardware is suitable. for windows 7 and lower there is also a system hack to increase the usb polling rate (how many times the system will read usb commands). this can also help to make sure that every usb input is recognized on the same frame.
So I bought SSSF: AE when it was on the steam summer sale for the hell of it, and I’m wondering why my TE stick wont work. Its an xbox 360 one and everyone says to just plug it in, but that hasn’t been working. I downloaded the Microsoft driver for Xbox 360 accessories and it still wont work
Could anyone with a similar setup to this laptop: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152429 tell me if this laptop will be able to run sf4 at a fluid 60 fps+ in benchmarks and general game play on console like settings? I know the processor is fine but I need some extra confirmation on the graphics card since apparently it doesn’t run most newer games at 60fps(I just want to play fighting games though).
Also, are Steam and GFWL player bases able to play each other?
I got this problem where in Arcade mode, both start buttons register as player 2, regardless of being bound to keyboard 1 or 2. Basically, I cannot skip any cutscenes/win quotes, pause or continue after losing. I have no idea what’s causing this and it only happens in Arcade mode, not in any others. I am using the steam version.
Edit: I saw that this was asked like a year ago further up the thread, but I couldn’t see any replies to it so I might as well just bump.
Edit2: I should also add that this doesn’t always happen, but it surely is often. I’d estimate it to maybe 95% of start-button presses. Might have something to do with the flashing “press 2p start”, though I haven’t noticed anything regarding that.
GFWL is making me type in my user name and password EVERY FUCKING TIME I play.
It doesn’t matter that I tick the boxes to remember and automatically sign in.
This only started happening recently.
I’ve tried signing in through the stand-alone client and checking those options, and that doesn’t work either.
GFWL can’t die soon enough.
All my buttons are working fine on my qanba in game but for whatever reason I can’t hold focus attack 95% of the time.
Basically it will instantly let go of focus attack as soon as i hold down the buttons. Checked the input and it will show mp+mk mk mk. I tried just pressing mk and holding mk and neither one gives me extra mk inputs. I checked my stick in control panel test and when i held down mk the light didnt flash and when i pressed it the light didnt flash multiple times.
Don’t really get it. I had a pirated version of pc AE downloaded for awhile and i dont remember having this problem on it but now on the real version i can’t fix this problem.
I can’t seem to get a really solid connection anymore on AE PC. It’s usually a hit and miss nowadays. I know it’s not my internet as I have a solid 35/100 speed with a ping in the average range of 10~15. Wish I knew a way of getting my connection speeds on AE PC better.
I used to think the pc version was the best but not so. While the network connections and graphics are much better the game has higher input lag than both console versions unless you turn V-Sync off and then you get horrible screen tearing. I have tried triple buffering, max render ahead que to 0 or 1, and frame cap of 60,59,58 and this game still has worse input lag than either console version unless you turn off v-sync which is not the proper way to play either.
All this tested on a Evo Monitor with a gtx 780 core i7 monster computer that plays everything at max in its sleep. I recently entered World Cyber Games tournament which was played on Xbox and I couldn’t believe the difference.
