In the online mode, I can’t get my connection bars to show up. There’s just nothing there! I know my connection is okay too. It’s probably costing me some matches when a dude sees NO bars and says “Well fuq that.” Anyone have a clue?
From earlier in this thread:
…Also on your internet router open those ports :

UDP and TCP port 3074.

I use windows xp and windowed mode, no matter the resolution, uses much less cpu and gpu resources.
For the same fps, cpu in full screen goes from 15-20 % to 35% and i hear the gpu fan make more noise.
So windowed mode for me.
I do not see any difference except maybe better picture quality in fullscreen but that does not interest me. I use 2x in filter options. In benchmarks in window mode game runs above 100fps.
In fullscreen sometimes before a game, the game freezes and i hear the gpu fan constantly.
Not sure if anyone else is having this problem, but do you have vsync enabled? When you’re fullscreen in games the alerts shouldn’t pop up (setting in MSN). I find this happens if you have youtube open at the same time as well. Disabling vsync may resolve the issue.
I fixed the problem guys with my “no dizzy birds” issue.
I am guessing it was a Nvidia Driver issue because I just updated to the newest beta drivers and my dizzy birds are back.
I can’t get any of the battles to load in AE PC. Both pre patch and post patch. This is a legit version of AE that i got with the Evo promo code i received.
The video shows how the glitch starts and because Fraps was running the image i posted is of the real benchmark test if run without fraps running at same time. Thanks for any help you guys can provide.
Yeah i figured that out myself. I was more curious as to possible help with the problem. I don’t know why it would tell me i can run the game fine and then not display it. My graphics card has displayed games like Supreme Commander and Left 4 Dead on really high settings, so it seems like a problem with the game having some stricter than necessary requirements.
Try setting your backgrounds to off, or lowest setting, or use doshu’s stage mods - they are for lower end pc’s - in the custom skin thread or PC AE mod wiki online.

Yep. Steam downloaded a 216.9 MB update for SSF4AE a few minutes ago, and now the game crashes on load with a Fatal Error - An unhandled error occurred. (-1)
I just updated SSFIVAE today via steam and now I am getting the same fatal error “An unexpected error has occured -1”.
Anyone know how to fix this? It seems a lot of steam users got this error after the recent patch.
